They had worse duets on the table than this one, but still not surprised this is out. I expect us to lose all of them in the bottom half of the RD, lol.

Glad we're getting the shit Lorrie Morgan duets out of here first. Most of those were a disappointment, sadly.
"Demolition Angel" has such a cool song title. Shame the song wasn't. :/

I’m not at all surprised to see the Dos Divas and It’s All Relative albums taking the most hits in the bottom 10. The same goes for Pam and Lorrie’s second duet album as there just isn’t enough passion around either of those projects to really get the songs much higher.
“Honey (Open That Door)” was one of my highest loses thus far as I had put it just outside of my top 30. Again, not surprised that it exited already as I’m one of the few that probably thinks the song is kind of a bop. I’m most familiar with the original by Ricky Skaggs which I think he released back in the early 80s, but I have to say Pam’s version is a close second especially with the addition of Ray Benson!
I didn’t much care for “Demolition Angel” when it was first released, but it has since grown on me quite a bit since the album rankdown as well as revisiting it again for this rankdown. Still, it took more than a handful of listens for my opinion of it to shift some, so therefore it exiting in the bottom 10 makes sense as it surely isn’t something I would revisit myself.

With "I'm Tired" bowing out first the Dos Divas album is the first to lose a track! How long will it be before the next song from that album falls?
Dos Divas already loses a second song in the bottom 2! Can this album escape the bottom 5 without losing another song...
It's All Relative: Tillis Sings Tillis becomes the second album to lose a song, how long will this one hold on before losing its second song?

I'm not surprised to see Dos Divas eliminated already. A lot of the songs have grown on me since I first heard them. Like "I Envy The Sun" and "Even The Stars" are both pretty solid ballads that would have sounded just fine on a solo Pam album. However there is just something about the production of this album that makes everything sound worse than it actually is... Lorrie and Pam both sound old and haggard, just because the production does neither of their voices any favors. Of course Lorrie actually IS old and haggard, so... But they both sound significantly better on their second duets album! It's almost like Come See Me And Come Lonely emphasized the resonance in their voices, while Dos Divas took all the resonance out. Speaking of the second duets album, "It's Over" got done DIRTY!!!!!!!!! This is by far one of the biggest standouts from that album!!! I legitimately love this one, which is not something I can say for much from either of these albums.... I think it is a really cool duet, especially because it allows them to show off the differences in their ranges with Lorrie singing the verses really low and Pam really high. We can get rid of the rest of the It's All Relative album next! "Burning Memories" and "Open That Door" are both good, but there really isn't anything from that album that I would deem essential in the context of her whole career. "Demolition Angel" is such a disappointing song... Like indulge said, the title is so cool! Unfortunately the song itself is a total waste of time.... I get mad when LBTrocks is always like "This song has no melody to speak of whatsoever", but that criticism would definitely work for this song. |

Dos Divas is an awful album, so seeing it eliminated in the bottom 5 makes me happy. Hopefully the covers album goes right out the door next!

We're getting rid of the Come See Me tracks in reverse order from what I would prefer. "Summer Wine" has such a classic vibe to it! To me the echoey production reminds me so much of like a Marty Robbins-era classic.
"Not Like It Was With You" is fine, but like I said earlier, there really isn't anything from her It's All Relative album that feels "essential" to her career, except for maybe "Unmitigated Gall" which isn't here because it was a single.
"My Kind Of Medicine" is alright, but it is definitely on the boring side of this list. Not quite as bad as "Demolition Angel", but nowhere near as good as the three remaining songs from that album. Speaking of, I'm glad to see "Karma" still in, as that melody shits all over DA and MKOM, and I was disappointed to see it out before them in the album rd!!

Oh this is a nice surprise! It's maybe a touch too early, but "Tequila Mockingbird" was my lowest-ranked song from all of her albums during her 'prime.' It's so sleepy.

Oh good! "Tequila Mockingbird" is one of the very few songs from her early albums that did absolutely nothing for me!! I was surprised it ended up in my own bottom 2 considering how much better I found her early albums to be than her later albums, but after listening to the list a few times I just couldn't put it anywhere else!

Hmmm, might be just a tad too early for "Down By The Water". Its relentless uptempo groove at least makes it a feel-good listen, even if it is not the most amazing song in this list. It gets stuck in my head!
