We'll see how well it ages, but Amy Shark's Love Monster is damn near perfect I really like it too. Itβs like what Skylar Grey was going with her solo material for but she didnβt quite hit the mark.

Great comparison! I think of it as this generation's answer to Let Go, another excellent female debut already mentioned in this thread.

Not counting any previous EPs an artist has released, Iβd have to go with Janelle Monaeβs The ArchAndroid. Easily in my top 3 albums of the decade.

I feel super guilty for this (And rightfully so lol) but I quite enjoyed Meghan Meghans debut album haha.

I think because Whitney and Mariah are two of my favorite artists of all time I never truly appreciated both of their debut albums because I started "stanning" for them after their debut's were released. Whitney it wasn't until "IYBT" and MiMi the "Butterfly" release but I owned all their prior material. Both debuts are great all of MiMi's singles along with Whitney's are great from each release. Then they both had album tracks I loved like "Alone In Love, Prisoner" and "All In Your Mind" from Mimi's debut. Whitney's had "All At Once", "Nobody Loves Me Like You Do" and Thinking About You" on there that I really like too. So both have 7-9 songs I adore on there so I'll go with those followed by Toni Braxton.
