81. Cumbersome - Seven Mary Three This would be the reason I didn't transition easily into the 90's. This band had really bad vocals and sounded like every other "bad" 90's music.

Acceptable simply by virtue of not being "The Garden of Allah".

80. You Don't Know Me at All - Don Henley More or less where it would show up. There is good guitar work here, but the overall song isn't very memorable at all.

I had no idea that this had crossed over to pop. (Actually I had never heard this song before the Alt rankdown).

See, while I didn't know this was a pop hit until a couple of years ago (thanks, HITS of '96 rankdown), I can totally hear the crossover appeal in the song, even without knowing that fact.
It's also so "just there" that I can't possibly connect with it on an emotional level.

I swear, I don't mind Scorpions. Honest. I'll probably be significantly kinder to them the further back we go.
This just didn't do it for me, though.

78. Wild Child - Scorpions This is by far from their best, but still better sounding to me than most songs on this list. It's all about the vocals and guitar melodies.

imagine getting together and forming a band, a lifelong dream of everyone, with aspirations of hitting it big on radio and playing big tours and being famous
and then deciding to name your band Expanding Man
