i don't want to jinx it, but i think taylor will be able to get her #1. old town road is an obvious obstacle, but it won't be at 900~ points forever. i see lil nas x's label try to compete against taylor and release the billy ray cyrus remix the same day to block her. even if it doesn't debut at #1, there's a good chance it might be able to climb there. plus taylor is following up the success of "delicate", which was a huge radio smash sleeper hit that was liked a lot more than the previous three singles. i don't think streaming will be much of an issue considering she's with republic.... but we'll have to see in two weeks to know for sure what happens lol. edit: meant to mention the remix music video instead of the remix itself Why do Taylor Swift fans think she'll become this massive streaming force because she's signed to Republic? Y'all are setting yourselves up for disappointment. After her last era, there is NO sign that her next era will be massive or even as massive as her reputation era.

I'd say it depends more on whether she actually releases to streaming services on her debut week. Given her sales, demand is very clearly there. And 'reputation' was nowhere near say, 'Man of the Woods' level of backlash that could kill a career.

If Taylor’s songs are as big as we think. It won’t matter when it is released or how big Old Town Road or Drake is. It will hit #1 anyway That's exactly it. Taylor's songs are not as big as we think. Not anymore. And of course it'll matter, if the current #1 is pulling over 100 million streams when she drops, it won't be enough for her to debut at #1, yet alone stay there. Taylor's songs don't typically spend a lot of time at #1 so there's no assurance that her new single could spend some time at #2 and then eventually get to #1. 3 4 7 1 3 her songs also normally spend a long time in the top ten with Love story/you belong with me/WANEGBT/I knew you were trouble / shake it off/ blank space all spent more than 15 weeks in the top ten. She does perfectly fine lol there need to worry about her.

Reputation would of been massive on streaming if she was released on streaming services in its first week and she one of the top three most streamed women on Apple Music with Rihanna and cardi and top five most stream woman on spoifty. Her streaming numbers can be huge if she plays her card rights and move to republic will make her focus on getting streams.

That's makes for a very short stay at the top position for her songs, based on her history.

OTR blocking TS would be justice for Anaconda Anaconda did not deserve #1, it's one of Nicki's worst songs. I'm not saying I was a fan of the song but at least it wasn't as bad as Shake It Off.

WITHOUT music video. there are 2 videos put already which count to the songs(not official music videos) for example the remix audio and the gameplay/video. Until TayTay release her lead the song will drop already on itunes and YT probably and TayTay will most likely take over spotify/yt and itunes as always

As we have 2 and a half pages of Taylor Swift discussion for this chart week. I am going to go out on a limb and predict where Taylor Swift will chart for this chart week, assuming the big announcement on 4/26 is even a new single. ---- Old Town Road will probably be in its 3rd week at #1 and Taylor Swift won't chart at all

Considering Tays team is smart enough, better release the single 2nd week or mid May.

Stop. She is not Adele and you should at least respect Old Town Road aka the most dominant #1 since Hello. Ugh... I hate Swifties. I love the denial Taylor's fans have. I also love the delusion her fans on ATRL have, thinking that because she's now signed to Republic, she'll automatically become this massive streaming artist because Drake, Ariana and Post Malone are all signed to Republic and are massive streaming acts. It doesn't work that way. Ah, I forgot that some random people on Pulse know me better than myself. You're so pressed right now lol

Just saw the "Boy with Luv" video, it's pretty catchy. Don't understand Halsey's inclusion at all, since she didn't even get a solo, but alright.

Reputation would of been massive on streaming if she was released on streaming services in its first week and she one of the top three most streamed women on Apple Music with Rihanna and cardi and top five most stream woman on spoifty. The point is she already a massive force on streaming platforms when she released on streaming platforms. :)
