The incident last night was probably why Bee doesn't attend those ceremonies anymore. They're so beneath her.

The makeup brought out her resemblance to her mother in all the best ways.

She has been gunning for an Oscar for a good decade+ now, of course she was gonna show up. Oscars and Grammys probably don't tell people in advance but other ceremonies do tell people they're gonna win so they show up (Adele recently admitted the BRITs told her she was getting at least one to entice her to show up).

The Oscar performance has been on repeat. She and everyone else killed that.

The lack of a new music from her feels is so intriguing to me. Maybe I'm just too thirsty to see her next step.
One thing about her is she has always been so driven with her career, putting out albums consistently from 1997-2016 knowing which step to take next with each one.
However "EVERYTHING IS LOVE" felt rather forgettable and ever since then the random remixes, standalone songs, etc have all felt underwhelming and as if they don't really offer any purpose.
I definitely get the long break from following up "Lemonade" most likely comes down to her having a family now and being older. You can't countlessly base your life around your career permanently. I really think this album is interesting though because this long hiatus, the huge expectations set by her previous studio albums, and the change of the musical landscape are going to play an interesting role.
I personally hope she strays away from all the trap and Hip-Hop influenced stuff (APESHIT, Savage, 7/11, Sorry) because honestly it ages pretty badly for me. I want R&B, Disco... even some Pop again.

I agree w this 10000 percent. And I’ve heard from decently reliable sources the next album is disco house.

I would love another album in the vein of B'Day or 4. Not that she needs to duplicate sounds but she kills when she does throwback R&B and funk tracks. And there's been such an absence of that kind of music barring a few artists.
But a disco/house record? I think I would die. Here for whatever she has to offer tbh, I love her hip-hop stuff too. She can sing anything.

Yes to all of this, but she did Homecoming, Everything is Love, and Black is King/Lion King (not to mention one offs like the "Savage" remix) so she has been working (and doing music projects). It's a little deceptive and reminds me of how people will say Whitney went years without an album even though she released The Bodyguard and The Preacher's Wife and had songs on Waiting to Exhale. I am not disagreeing with you, just saying it's not like she's been as MIA in music as Rihanna.

I'd love a fun record from her. Everything since 4 has felt overly serious. I loved self-titled and enjoyed a lot of 4 and LEMONADE though.
As for people's perception of her "being away"... other than "Savage" none of her releases have been a big deal commercially, so for most people it's been a while.

I miss the Beyoncé who just released fun music like the poster above. All of her released projects are fantastic however since the pandemic, I just personally need a break from serious topics and just want to dance.

I think Beyoncé chose to do random projects after Lemonade because she didn't really know how to follow it and was afraid of failure. When she "decides" to do an album with Jay-Z and a Lion King concept album she's able to avoid direct comparisons to her previous albums and any expectations of success that might be attached to them.

That trap s**t she has released has aged horribly. I don't even care what kind of music she records so long as it's melodic. I want nothing else. She has been putting out CACOPHONOUS, TUNELESS garbage for far too long now.

I can do everything but the ballads❤️ Bullshit! The ballads were the best part of 4. Rather Die Young, I Care >>>>>>> 7/11, Savage.

IIWAB, Halo, and Smash Into You could easily have been tacked onto the deluxe Sasha Fierce disc along with Save The Hero and made a cohesive album with nothing missing.

Disappear trumps over all those songs. With the years, I somewhat warmed up on IASF, it’s still her worst work to this day, but some of the hive act like it’s an unlistenable monstrosity.
