Maybe then it was a thing, but clearly not anymore. No artist from these days has ever posted a Hot 100 #1 award (although there's Billboard Music Awards). I've seen artists post plaques with their #1's though. Those are purchased/created by labels through plaque making companies.

I certainly thought the revised 13-track version of Lemonade (with Sorry demo) that is priced lower at $15.99 would outsell the 12-track version that is more expensive ($17.99). But it's just the opposite - the original is still in Top 10 and the revised version is not in Top 200. Is there anything on the original that isn't on the revised version? It's just odd.
The streaming demand for Lemonade is impressive, but not really surprising considering it has been a steady seller since it's release/elusive TIDAL agreement. I'm finally getting a chance to listen and hope the TIDAL exclusives are short-lived going forward.

Beyonce is so beyond human to me, she hasn't had a real hit in a decade yet she's still so culturally relevant. Lemonade was one of the biggest albums of 2016 without a major single backing it, that's pretty incredible. I think her recent output with Ed Sheeran, J Balvin and her husband means she might be attempting to lean back into the mainstream. I mean, I wouldn't mind another Beyonce album full of hits. I think drunk in love qualifies as a real hit no? Big seller. Top 15 on pop and bigger on rhy & urban And to a lesser degree sorry sold over a million got a smidge of pop airplay and was big on her main formats Ya, "Drunk in Love" was a decent sized hit, #2 peak and #35 year end. "Sorry" impressed me even more, had a #11 peak and managed to hit #71 on the year end chart, while "Formation" didn't even make it.

Post Malone and Cardi on a track should be at the VERY least a top 5, I'm predicting it to go #1 though.

Before we start making crazy predictions about the French Montana x Cardi x Post song, take into consideration that when French Montana featured Drake on a song this summer when he was huge, the song barely even cracked the top 50.

Quick Question. I presume if Billboard did complete Decade-End awards prior to the 1990's... ● The Beatles/The Supremes would have been the Hot 100 artists of the 1960's? ● Bee Gees would have been the Hot 100 artist of the 1970's? (Donna Summer would have been the Female Hot 100 artist?) ● Madonna/Whitney Houston/Michael Jackson would have been the Hot 100 artist of the 1980's? In what order exactly? Gary jenglisbe

Though not related to the hot 100. I can see Lemonade being quite high on the Billboard 200 for the next couple of weeks due to being added to Streaming services and it's also top ten on iTunes. Huh, that's interesting that it's high on iTunes. It's always been available there. I'm assuming it got boosted due to "Homecoming".

Once again French Montana attempting to get a hit with much more interesting artists on the track that will for sure outshine him, cuz honestly nobody cares about French Montana. His biggest hit is basically a Swae Lee song, his hook is why it was so big anyways.

"Formation" was extremely front loaded because the song was 3 months old when it was finally available on f-ing iTunes of all places. It is crazy that Lemonade tracks did as well as they did with literally no streaming. None. 8 of them were in the Top 40 off of digital sales basically. Even Jay don't use TIDAL tbh. "Sorry" was a radio single and got some streams when its video was uploaded to YouTube, that kept it around a little longer.

What are you talking about? Context is that we were talking about Beyonce having ascended to icon status and having left behind actual mainstream hits. When thinking about this conversation it is worth pointing out that she does still every once in awhile have songs that stick around in the popular consciousness on the hot 100 that make the year end list. Just from her last few albums there's Best Thing I Ever Had - #86 in 2011 Drunk In Love - #35 in 2014 Partition - #95 in 2014 7/11 - #61 in 2015 Sorry - #71 in 2016 Additionally she featured on Mi Gente which placed at 50/99 in 2017-2018 and only did anything in 2018 because of her presence. While these are by no means Drake numbers, it would be impossible to put up songs on the year end list like this had she completely left behind the domain of mainstream accessible music. An interesting comparison is Kanye West, who is similarly dominant in the music discussion but only has two entries from 2010's albums, All Of The Lights in 2011 and Mercy in 2012, and both of those songs have a bunch of features

Now imagine if the songs were on Spotify & AM. But as she sings in "Nice" off of Everything Is Love, If I gave two f-cks, two f-cks about streaming numbers Would have put Lemonade up on Spotify She is an artist on her own level, and she is able to create art without commercial success concerns.

Oh, I'm actually disappointed that the Cardi/Post collab is on a French Montana song. xD Nothing against him, I just wanted it to be the two of them. A proper hip-hop duet, we don't get many of those. Oh well.
