We still need more precise data, but it's looking like this has shapen up to be quite the close race. Fingers crossed we get a new #1! I respect you and your predictions a lot, but I'll be surprised if OTR's streams are that "low" this week.

The original "OTR" is down in the 20s and iTunes and in the bottom pf the top 10 on Spotify, so the duet has certainly helped sustain the song. The novelty of the original concept has worn off. Yes. Now instead, it's the novelty of having Billy Ray Cyrus there.

ME! will get around 50M streams while OTR will get 90-105M. ME! needs 200-250K sales to challenge for #1.

I was a bigger fan of Hee Haw Taylor. Speak To Me and Red where those albums! When shake it off came out I really hated it and it took me some time to get used her pop era. ME! its very similar to SIO. I want Taylor the songwriter back!

How are Sunflower streams still better than Wow? Sunflower is winning in all services, but its "non-Spotify" lead is surprisingly big. Last week's on-demand streams: Sunflower: ---> Spotify 8,159,895 ---> Others: 9,116,105 Wow (combined with the remix):---> Spotify: 7,889,665 ---> Others: 8,257,335

A bit off-topic, but I've been banging to Thotiana a lot. I think that song is my guilty pleasure. Will someone mad if I put it a bit high up on a rankdown?

Does Kesha get royalties for Tik Tok? Jw. For her song? Yes. Does she get money from Tik Tok the app? No. She would have to trademark the phrase "tik tok" in order for that to happen, and the trademark would need to be in her name (there's two other songwriters on the song). I highly doubt if she were to apply fir a trademark for the phrase that she'd receive it. The phrase is too common to be trademarked. (Very much like when Taylor Swift tried to trademark "shake it off."*) But even with that, she may still not have received anything as the song/phrase is "TiK ToK" while the app is "TikTok." That subtle difference could in theory be a loophole around a "TiK ToK" trademark. And on top of that, the app is completely unrelated to Kesha. *I believe she did succeed in getting "this sick beat" trademarked, though.

I don't remember any song ever had 50k+ non-iTunes sales in digital era in a week. Is there any data on how much sales can its vinyls, CD singles, rehearse singles, bundles generate? 1.666k?

To say "Our Song", "Tim McGraw", and "Picture to Burn" are not country is ridiculous.

Didn't you just say you support Lil Nas X for playing the chart game.... I said that I was excited to see a rapper who knows how to play the chart game. Look at Post Malone, Eminem, Lil Wayne, Drake and Kodak losing #1s last year simply because they didn't know when to release a music video. ... but this is too much. Like, she had the entire week to use the discount strategy and what's the point of discounting the song with less than 6 hours left in the tracking week? She is desparate. Eminem has loads of #1s and can get one easily. He does not need a #1. Same applies to Drake and Lil Wayne.

I respect you and your predictions a lot, but I'll be surprised if OTR's streams are that "low" this week. I’ve been noticing the trend with each week I’ve predicted and I don’t know how to counter it. HDD and YouTube combined with the meager Porgrammed predictions gets me close with every song’s final numbers except for that one for some reason. My best guess is that it has something to do with YouTube underreporting UGC, but I haven’t looked at the numbers hard enough to see if there’s a consistent either quantity or percentage to work with.

As long as ME! hits #1 this week, gets Taylor’s sixth #1, gets Brendon’s #1, and has an unbeatable record of biggest jump to #1, I will be fine if Old Town Road gets 16+ weeks at #1.

I think OTR still has it but I'm liking the drama ME! has stirred, at least chart-related arguments/discussion on this thread for once. And there's still some level of suspense if ME! could really pull it off.

It's most likely not happening though so you don't need to be fine with it! OTR has declined in points every week since the release of the remix. It just peaked so high that it's comfortably #1 at the moment. On the sidenote, HDD's streaming chart seems like a huge mess currently, the positions change all the time.

There is no Billboard article about “ME!”, you know what this means I don't understand why there isn't one for breaking the record for biggest jump on the hot 100, that's actually article worthy

There is no Billboard article about “ME!”, you know what this means I can sort of imagine that if Taylor goes #1 Billboard might not even put out an article AND they might make us wait for hours on end on Monday.
