I mentioned songs of 2010s as it's written in the thread's title. Then I didn't mention songs that are less than 3 years old because they are still recent. We haven't forgotten yet.

I’ll give one from each year from 2010-2017 2010: Say Aah - Trey Songz ft. Fabulous. Peaked at #9 2011: Hey Baby (Drop It To The Floor) - Pitbull ft. T-Pain. Peaked at #7 2012: I Won’t Give Up - Jason Mraz. Peaked at #8 2013: Holy Grail - Jay Z ft. Justin Timberlake. Peaked at #4 2014: Don’t Tell ‘Em - Jeremih ft. YG. Peaked at #62015: Somebody - Natalie La Rose ft. Jeremih. Peaked at #10 2016: Cold Water - Major Lazer ft. Justin Bieber and MØ. Peaked at #2! 2017 Fake Love - Drake. Peaked at #8Even though Cold Water peaked at #2 And was just 3 years ago I can not for the life of me tell you any of the lyrics or how it sounds like. I wouldn’t even know the song existed if I didn’t follow the charts. The rest of these I remember growing up but you just never hear them anymore. I'm gonna stop you there, I remember the bolded pretty well. Don't Tell Em was catchy as hell while Fake Love was just so ridiculously bad. And also, stop whoever said Fancy and Problem. Disagree. My picks: Pillowtalk by Zayn and Rihanna's S&M.

Cheerleader and Locked Away are great examples. Actually, it seems like 2015 has more forgotten hits than any other year from this decade.

As subjective as all of this is, some of you have no idea what you're talking about. I worked at a really popular NYC event place for awhile and I WATCHED GP people enjoy and groove to a lot of the songs listed here.
Examples:
- Ariana Grande's "Problem" is not forgotten. That was a pretty big song, it just is overshadowed by her current zeitgeisty work. - People know Meghan Trainor's big songs, not just AATB. People groove to Lips Are Movin, LIGLY gets a lot of recurrent airplay in stores, and people definitely still enjoyed NO whenever it came on. - Owl City and CRJ "Good Time" gets a lot of recurrent play at various stores. It was never a super popular song in the first place, but people "know" it. It's just pretty PG. - Kesha's music is ABSOLUTELY remembered amongst kids who were in college when she was on her first album, are you kidding me? The suggestion that people who like pop music don't know YLIMD or Take Me Off or Blow is ridiculous. - Bang Bang gets played at lots of gay bars. It has 3 divas on it -- why would you think this would be "forgotten"? - There's no big Britney single that is forgotten by people that like pop music. People don't remember "Make Me" and "Pretty Girls" because they were terrible and flopped. - People remember Justin Bieber hits from Purpose and beyond, but before then I would agree that the only remembered one is "Baby"; but that one is DEFINITELY remembered. - There are no Katy Petty and Rihanna hits that are "forgotten". Come on now. They just get recurrent play in spaces more tailored for their music; a gay bar or a club. - Don't Tell Em was huge and people know that song.
Some of my thoughts, which is just based on RELATIVITY:
- Lots of One Direction songs, for sure. - Tori Kelly, "Should've Been Us", though I still love it. - "Perfect Illusion" by Lady Gaga. Especially because people know Million Reasons. - Jessie J's "Price Tag". For a song that was her first US hit, that does NOT get played or remembered out in public spaces from my experience. - Cheerleader by OMI feels pretty absent from everywhere despite it being huge. People remember it but man does it seem like no one wants to hear it. - Iggy Azalea's Black Widow for sure feels forgotten. In fact, although I'll hear Fancy once in awhile, you would think that'd be more remembered than it is. - Anything by Hot Chelle Ray, for sure, but aren't they pre 2010? - Whoever said "Carry On" by fun., that was a good one. But people def. remember We Are Young and Some Nights. - Marvin Gaye with Charlie Puth and Meghan Trainor. - I feel like Gwen Stefani's songs after her comeback really fell off the radar. People more remember her stuff from LAMB.

Looking at the year-end Top 40 of 2010-2015, I had more or less forgotten about: Post to Be — Omarion ft. Chris Brown and Jhené Aiko Locked Away — R. City ft. Maroon 5 Wiggle—Jason Derulo ft. Snoop Dog Holy Grail—Jay Z ft. Justin Timberlake Safe and Sound — Capital Cities Give Your Heart a Break—Demi Lovato Just Can't Get Enough—Black Eyed Peas Lighters—Bad Meets Evil ft. Eminem Carry Out—Timbaland ft. Justin Timberlake Give Your Heart a Break is not forgotten.

Rixton - “Me & My Broken Heart” MKTO - “Classic” Well, I still enjoy listening to them regularly, and I hear "Classic" quite often as background music in TV programmes. But yeah, they have unfortunately been forgotten by the general public. Let's also add "Am I Wrong" by Nico & Vinz to the trilogy of criminally underrated 2014 hits by artists who were never heard from again 😄

The Black Eyed Peas songs from early this decade the early 2010s ("Imma Be", "Rock Your Body", "The Time (Dirty Bit)") are pretty much relics of their time now.
Maroon 5's moderate hits also seem to have been forgotten by the general public (at least from my personal experience). You know, the likes of "Daylight", "Love Somebody", "Maps", "Animals", and all their hits from this current era with the exception of "Girls Like You". Or can any of you tell me the melody of "Cold" or "Wait" off your heads? 😄
"Part Of Me" is definitely Katy Perry's most forgotten #1 hit, by far. I think "Chained For The Rhythm" will end up being pretty forgotten as well, especially since it was overshadowed by "Bon Appetit" in terms of controversy and media attention.
I also think Rihanna's 2015 hiatus work got a bit overshadowed by her Anti era. The incredible "FourFiveSeconds" and the then-controversial "B**** Better Have My Money" barely seem to get any mentions these days.

Latch is remembered.
MKTO is such a good example. Kiiara’s “Gold” for sure - ironically she’s still popping up live occasionally.
If any song by Katy Perry is forgotten, it’s “Waking Up In Vegas”. Especially for how much radio play that got. Take a look at Spotify numbers - Thinking if You has waaaay more streams and WUIV is like nothing.
And definitely @ some of those Black Eyed Peas songs that got so much radio play.

Similarly, most Black Eyed Peas radio hits were from 2003-09. Exceptions were "Imma Be", "Just Can't Get Enough", "The Time (The Dirty Bit)" (which I only remember as a messy mashup that soon faded), and a couple of slightly lesser ones.

It's a shame "Waking Up In Vegas" ended up being forgotten after the massive "Teenage Dream" and "Prism" eras. Pop rock was the perfect fit for Katy's voice.
I'm afraid I can't qualify to comment on "Latch", since I absolutely adore this song (especially Sam's acoustic version), so I listen to it way more often than your average music listener. Speaking of Sam Smith, I don't recall hearing the likes of "I'm Not The Only One" and "Lay Me Down" on public places once they were past their peak.
Another forgotten (moderate) hit is Naughty Boy's "La La La" (featuring Sam Smith). It's a pity though, because it's yet another great song.
On another note, was Camila Cabello's "Never Be The Same" really that big in the US? It seems that it's mostly remembered nowadays for the infamous 'nicotine, heroween, morphine' bit over anything else 😄

So pretty big, but I think her signature song as a lead artist is and may well remain "Havana".

"No Brainer" was meant to be a rehash of "I'm The One", an already forgettable #1 hit (and debut at that). While we're at it, I imagine "10,000 Hours" with Bieber and Day + Shay will be quickly forgotten once it reaches its radio peak. It's just pleasant background music, sorry folks. Also, the admittedly sweet "boyfriend" and the messy "Don't Call Me Angel" will end up as mere footnotes of Ariana's "sweetener"/"thank u, next" era. Might as well add the whole "Charlie Angels" project as one of the most forgotten albums of the 2010s by popular artists. As for the others...it's too early to tell for "Sweet But Psycho", but "God Is A Woman" is one of Ariana Grande's best songs, while "Too Good At Goodbyes" held up well, but probably because it was a lead single for Sam's second album.

"OMG" feels forgotten for a 4-week-#1 hit. and "Imma Be" as well How did America let the embarrassing "OMG" become a 4-week #1 hit is beyond me, especially when the much superior and better remembered "DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love" barely cracked the top 3 at the time.

Of these, "Please Me" seemed to be just a quick attempt at Finesse Part 2, with the billing reversed (Cardi as lead and Bruno as feature). Like many sequels it doesn't match the original. Bieber has had umpteen features in the four years since he last put out an album as a lead, several of which were hits, but I doubt any other than "Despacito" and maybe "I Don't Care" are likely to be remembered much. And IDC was mainly Ed's hit, not Biebs'. Ariana has had so many hits in the last couple of years from two album eras without a pause between them, that it's inevitable that some of them won't hold up, especially as by the time of "Break Up..." things were running on momentum arguably more than quality. "Too Good At Goodbyes" still sounds good, but was unfortunately the only big hit from Sam's second era, though at least "Dancing With a Stranger" turned things around later.

I would have included these but OP asked for hits 😂 "boyfriend" debuted in the top 10, which would be the old-fashioned definition for a hit (and it also made the Year End last year, albeit at #98 💀). But indeed, "Don't Call Me Angel" would be a stretch. It may have debuted at #13, but it free-fell in the most magnificent manner afterwards. 😂
