Like the song, the idea of the video is much better than the result. I think both Katy and Gaga (or BeyoncΓ©) would have done better with this concept. And thatβs not to say anything bad about Taylorβs own catalog of videos, Iβm talking about this specific video and approach.

Two things I forgot to mention:
1. I love the fact that Todrick had so much screen time & was involved so much. I know Taylor and him are super close and ever since I heard the song I've had a theory in my brain about the second verse of the song being about him.
2. I love this extended (but not THAT extended) version of the song. I wish this was released instead.

Gaga has been really, really politically active beyond even just letter writing so I'm not sure why it was stated that she isn't doing that. I don't know much about Katy, but that is a pretty baseless accusation against Gaga. Not entirely sure why that was even brought up though since the original comment seemed to be more about execution and style rather than "who has written the most letters for LGBT people."
