Faith Hill Album Series - Finished!

While most of the songs below this bounced around and remained so close together that they easily swapped places with every new list, this one set a pretty solid place for itself at #6. Four people get perfect rankings out of this one, including taylor is terrified (who not only gets a perfect ranking here, but also has the pleasure of having her ENTIRE top 5 make the top 5!!! A distinction she shares with both ClevelandRox and castleoblivion26. And I'm pretty close; I have my 1-4 and my 7!).

I definitely feel like I underranked "Love Is A Sweet Thing", but tbh it just kinda manages to feel like a pointless song. Over the course of 4 minutes, the lyrics manage to say absolutely nothing. The song also doesn't really require much vocal skill, which stood out in a negative way on an album that is filled with difficult songs that only the best vocalists could pull off. Of course not EVERY song needs to be a belt-fest, but this one requires so little vocal range that Faith seemingly forgets to emote on the super-repetitive chorus, and just sounds bored. Having a key change helps in the 3rd chorus, but is not enough to make the rest of the song better.

I wasn't sure how I knew Bringing Out the Elvis, I assumed it was a cover of an older song. Upon investigating, it was from this stellar performance on Season 5 of Idol.

Rankings for this album are truly all over the damn place. Like there seems to be no real consensus on what the strongest/weakest album tracks are.

I can't believe my top 3 is gone :( Seriously, why is That's How Love Moves so low on most of your lists guys? It's a perfect song! I might not be a big supporter of Faith nowadays, but this song is so full of epicness and beauty. I just don't get it lol

Told you I knew this album well enough to know where everything belongs  I don't think I've ever received so many perfect rankings!! (the official 13, 11, 9 and 6 were my 13, 11, 9 and 6)

I will say I'm rather surprised (mainly because of the Jesus Jam aspect) that "There Will Come A Day" did so well. With its lyrics weighing close to the religious side, I was sure it'd get tanked enough to land in the bottom 3!

Kicking off the top 5, we say goodbye to our final album track! "What's In It For Me" was pretty much always the highest album track throughout the competition, even looking like a top 4 contender for awhile, meaning it tried hard to sneak ahead of one of the four singles!

This is a song that took a few listens to grow on me completely. I never hated it or anything, but it was definitely towards the back of the album. Yet now, I am enjoying it more with every listen, and honestly I think it is quite a jam now! I only put it at #7, but I am quite okay seeing this be the highest album track! It definitely sounds like it could have been a hit. I'm excited to see how it can do in the album tracks rankdown

I like "Let's Make Love" and wish it was ahead of "The Way You Love Me" and "If My Heart Had Wings". IMHHW has only just recently started to grow on me, initially I never liked it so I kinda wish that had been #4. Hopefully it is out next at #3!

So this whole thing might look like single bias striking again, but if you notice the trajectory graph, you will see that this song was in fact a bottom half contender for the first half of the submission process, including occupying last place briefly! It was the weirdest thing, this song seemed to get front loaded with hate, but then as the submissions came in every list seemingly put it higher and higher. Everybody put it in their top 5 except for 4 people, one of which was a #7, and the other 3 were bottom 3s...and all 3 of those bottom 3s were our first 3 submissions

This has always been my favorite of Tim/Faith's mega-hit duets. I honestly always forget it is a part of this album though. It seems to have taken on a life of its own as a Tim/Faith hit, and I always forget that it was actually one of Faith's singles. I am okay seeing this be the first single to leave, because the other 3 have all worn on me less.

What's In It For Me would've been an excellent 3:30 minute song, it's still good but not sure why it's an almost SIX MINUTES LONG.

Let's Make Love is by far my least favorite of the vintage Tim/Faith duets but it's still enjoyable.

This top three is SHOCKING!

Here we go! "Breathe" versus "If My Heart Had Wings"!

One of these songs was at #1 for almost the entire submission process other than when "The Way You Love Me" popped up there briefly three lists from the end with fearlessarrow's list.

The other song was never even a top 2 contender until .indulgecountry pushed "The Way You Love Me" backwards at the last minute.
