“Jezebel” was released as the second single from Chile’s fifth studio album Never Love You Enough. The song peaked at #23 in 2002 and became her final Top 30 hit on country radio. While this tied with the previous song it came in as the 8th least polarizing song of the rankdown so I ended up giving this one the edge. Just as the previous couple of songs this started off strong but dipped back below the top 30 with a mid-40 ranking from bboat11 who just happens to be the lowest-ranking participant. It was able to quickly recover and jumped right back into the top 20 thanks to two top 10’s from ClevelandRox and austin as well as plenty of support from multiple top 20 rankings.

LOL well I usually have all of that ready to go at the same time when I reveal the next song... Speaking of the next song we have our third and final tie! While I would usually give the song with the most top 5's the edge in this case I gave it to the one that came in as the 8th least polarizing song of the rankdown. Someone that just lost their top-ranked song gets some revenge this time around as they lose a bottom 5 while three others depart with a top 5. I would ask which Martina song gardyfan helped tank this time, but I don't think either of her songs will be 8th- least polarizing... Lol I have no idea what I have to do with any of this.

“That’s the Way” was released as the lead-off single to Jo Dee’s third studio album Burn. The song spent four weeks at the top of the country charts and was one of the top ten most played country songs of the year. I initially had “My Give a Damn’s Busted” selected for this and only switched it out at the last minute. Considering both of them finished relatively close to one another in her artist rankdown I was uncertain about which one to select especially given that her songs are some of the most featured ones to be showcased in country rankdowns. Despite getting thrown outside of the top 30 early on it quickly rebounded into the top 20 where it remained for the remainder of the time. d3vin44 loses a top 5 while castleoblivion26 , bboat11 , and BackwoodsBarbie all depart with a top 10. nickd finally gets to say adios to his bottom ranking song and with his being the final submission only sent this back one spot.

Dang! Jo Dee, and this song in particular made me a fan of country music! I honestly thought she was a lock for the top 10.

“This One’s for the Girls” was released as the first single from Martina McBride’s seventh studio album aptly titled Martina. Selected as the theme song for this series, it misses the top 15 by only ten points. It has previously been featured in multiple rankdowns where it finished just inside the top 20 in the 2003 YE rankdown as well as second place in the album rankdown pitting it against all of the other songs that had to settle for second best in bboat11 ’s Revenge of the Best series. While starting off strong Kanenrá:ke sent this shooting outside of the top 40 with a bottom 5, but it immediately rebounded and was nothing but up from there. With a handful of support including three top 5’s from castleoblivion26 , bboat11 , and Troublemaker , this did briefly flirt with the top 10 but was dealt another bottom 5 blow from SHOOTER . While this did seem like it would make it into the top 15 nickd ’s final list yet again shook things up and sent this settling just outside of it. Martina remains in contention, though, as "When God-Fearin' Women Get the Blues" makes a run for the top 10!

Well, I was getting my hopes up for top 15, but tbh this is right about where I predicted it would finish, so no complaints from me! "This One's For The Girls" is SO catchy, especially when you look at the guitar work. However, I can absolutely see why it is not everybody's cup of tea. It is definitely one of those songs that pumps up a crowd in concert but could grow old quickly on radio, so some people are probably still dealing with the aftereffects of overplay too.
There's nothing but incredible songs left, so at least this didn't miss out to songs that didn't deserve to beat it!!

I predict Faith, Dolly, LeAnn, and Patty will miss the top 10 (not that any of them deserve to). However, the last spot is so hard to see! I could see Terri Clark missing, because SDHT missed the top 10 in her artist rankdown :'( That will be a huge heartbreaker though....

Unfortunately, some people consistently go out of their way to tank it every time it appears in rankdowns...............

Got a lot to catch up on and may not get to go back and comment on each song but thank you all for not letting Martina into the top 10 with that song! I don't hate it but it's near the bottom for me and I've been waiting for it to leave forever. I was hoping her name wouldn't carry it too high.
(My 4 lowest remaining all are big names too who imo are riding on their names at this point)

thank you all for not letting Martina into the top 10 with that song! I mean, considering how infrequently she is let into the top 10 at all in multi-artist rankdowns, I don’t know what you were worried about...

"I Always Liked That Best" is SO good. It should have been a multi-week #1.
"When God-Fearing Women Get The Blues" is iconic and deserves to still be in this thing but Martina and her Spaghettios overstayed with 'Girls'.
'That's The Way' is kinda like "I'm Just A Girl'...LOVE the artist, not so much this particular song.
Missing the Top 10: "She Didn't Have Time" "Better Get To Livin'" "Forever and For Always" "On Your Way Home" "Because Of You"

Hard to predict but I think these miss the top 10
Because of You Better Get to Livin' Don't Worry 'Bout a Thing Mississippi Girl The Long Way Around
Also Tim! The lyric you highlighted from “Forgive” is one of my favourites of the decade! Maybe only beat out by a lyric in one of the remaining songs!!

I know most of us are going to be busy tomorrow with Thanksgiving dinner and such so I want to try and get us into the top 10 tonight! The first song to exit was about to miss the top 15 altogether until the final list came in and sees two participants losing a top 5 while another loses a near bottom 5...

“Something’s Gotta Give” was released as the third single from LeAnn’s seventh studio album This Woman. The song peaked at #2 on the Hot Country Songs chart and became her highest-peaking country single since 1997. While we don’t quite yet know where this is going to fall in Kanenrá:ke ’s LeAnn Rimes artist rankdown we at least get a glimpse of how it might fare as this received quite a bit of support across the board. This remained a consistent top 20 contender and briefly snuck into the top 10 thanks to ClevelandRox and austin . It briefly fell out of the top 15 a couple of times when it got hit with its two lowest rankings from gardyfan and a near bottom 5 from .indulgecountry . The final submission from nickd yet again shook things up as he was joined by Cody Wants Out... ’s earlier top 5 ranking which was just enough to push this back into the top 15.
