Do you guys think Lewis Capaldi can manage to hit the top 10 with 'Someone You Loved"? It still has a lot of radio to gain and itβs streaming and sales have been increasing and itβs already at 18. I think top 5 is possible even and top 10 is guaranteed.

For everyone who remembers "Dilemma" here's something to make you feel especially old...it was the number one song when Lil Tecca was born. That means there's an artist in the current top ten who wasn't alive when "Hot In Herre" was on top. Now get off my lawn!!! Oof I wasn't born when Dilemma was #1 either haha Stop making me feel like a grandpa! ha ha ha

Neither Lil Tecca or Billie Eilish were alive during the September 11 attacks. (Though Billie would've been a fetus.) Lil Nas X was still an infant during "...Baby One More Time." Hardly anyone in the top 10 would have any strong recollection of the 90s. The new high school freshman class was not alive when The Emancipation of Mimi was released. My new eighth graders were born in 2006.

Eighth graders born in 2006, wtf is happening
You donβt start really feeling older until people your age suddenly become celebrities. Iβm a month older than Billie Eilish, so her breakout has me feeling some type of way (even tho I know our situations are in no way comparable)

Michael Jackson's Black or White was #1 when I was born, and here I was thinking I was one of the younger members.
So it's looking like OTR will be spending a couple more weeks at #1, because of the streaming era will this record have the same longevity as Mariah/B2M? Or will we not be waiting another 20 years for the record to be tied/broken?
Find out next time on Dragon Ball Z.

If it's any consolation, Lady Marmalade was #1 when I was born and I'm promiscuous so I guess it makes sense.

Gee, what was I doing when βDilemmaβ came out...
Ah... 6th grade... My friends were mostly into Blink-182, Green Day, Hoobastank and such. I honestly knew nothing about the charts, but my dad would spin 45βs from time to time. Come 2005, I ended up watching charts and following tons of changes in the industry.
I donβt think I knew then just how much Iβd discover.

Ayiyi...I feel thatβs itβs hopeless to want βbad guyβ to dethrone OTR. Sheβs closer to OTR than she is to βSeΓ±oritaβ (which is just barely ahead of βTruth Hurtsβ), but the time is NOW. Try everything - vinyl singles, flexidiscs, a new βtour videoβ or something...

I sometimes still feel like I haven't spent that much time on pulse yet until I realize that I joined five and a half years ago at this point and that's probably a really long time to some of you lmao
it's possible that there are members here that weren't even born yet when I was in grade 2 lmao (I was born in 1998 for context)
