One thing that been admirable about AG's recent string of hits (until BF) is that she's done it solo without having to slap on a male artist to hedge success. AG proved it can be done consistently. I was hoping others would follow. It's bums me out that an artist positioned like Lizzo ends up going basic, which she has every right to do.

Charlie Puth and Post Malone should knock that Lizzo and Shawn, Camila boring songs from #1!

Most likely coming on Friday and helping Truth Hurts take over Senorita next week: VMA’s are Monday so that will be a big push for senorita because we all know how people want to see them perform together ... Lizzo might get a push as well tho if her performance is as creative as her recent ones..

If the recent Shawn performances are any indication, we can expect the performance to be pretty average with like a kiss at the end or something. We'll see how much Camilla can improve his stage shows lol. Lizzo, on the other hand, is legendary, but if she does the same old performance she did at BET Awards then she also won't get the greatest boost. (VMAs are also viewed by like 56 people so a moment needs to be really good to impact chart race--given that this one will be close, it might end up being the deciding factor though)

How is this any different than Ariana slapping 2 Chainz on the 7 Rings remix? LOL. You're right. But did that version take it to #1? I thought it was already #1 by the time that version came out. I should've been clearer about being able to reach peaks without help.

There are crappy #1 hits every year. Even back in the 60s. Music didn't suddenly get bad, you just got older and aged out of the demographic that likes current music. That's definitely me, and I'm certainly one of the senior members here lol. I do still like some current music though.

I hope there's a room for Goodbyes to be no.1 when the album comes because of the airplay factor then followed by Circles.

My dream scenario would be for Goodbyes to go #1 when the album releases and then stay there for a few weeks until Circles overtakes it on radio. Hopefully Circles gets a quality MV too.

^How does Ransom lose in chart position if it's doing high on demand streams, solid YouTube, and growing radio with a remix?

^How does Ransom lose in chart position if it's doing high on demand streams, solid YouTube, and growing radio with a remix? Positions are only a reflection of how songs are performing relative to each other. A song can gain points but lose positions if other songs below it gain more and rise above it. For example if a song at #8 has 100 points and #9 has 98 points, but next week the song that was at #8 has 110 points and the song that was at #9 has 111 points, it will be #8 and push the other song down to #9 despite both gaining in points. I have no idea how Ransom and Goodbyes are performing relative to each other, but based on Simm's predictions, looks like Goodbyes is just gaining more than Ransom when all components are factored in. I don't know if that's true, but that's what Simm's predictions are insinuating. Edit: I looked into it. Radio Goodbyes #11, ~70 million AI, gaining roughly 1 million per day Ransom #93, ~19 million AI, gaining roughly 0.9 million per day iTunes Goodbyes #19, relatively stable Ransom #88, fluctuating up and down Spotify Goodbyes #4, up 7k streams for the week Ransom #1, down 150k streams for the week Apple Goodbyes #14 Ransom #6 & #34 YouTube (weekly) Ransom #4, down 364k Goodbyes #23, down 278k Just looks like the two are close together in overall points and Goodbyes is just going to be slightly ahead this upcoming week.

Señorita has a massive lead over it on airplay and sales.

They are, after all, predictions from one man unaffiliated with Billboard and any of the affiliates that report to Billboard. I'm also realizing right now the 7Day+ column on Kworb for Spotify is not what I thought it was.

Billboard can be one confusing thing to figure out sometimes.

Simm mostly likely just didn’t include the remix. Impossible for it to decrease in either points or position with how well the remix is doing. I think it’ll jump to the top 5 at the least

Since we’re on the topic of Lil Tecca, one thing I was wondering is what’s happening to Love Me? AFAIK it isn’t on any genre chart, bubbling under, or the Hot 100 even though it’s on Spotify’s top 50 for a while now. Is it that weak in all other formats, or is it recurrent and just too low, or what?

Random, but Kygo and Whitney's "Higher Love" is top 10 in the UK, so that's nice.

On the note of simon's predictions this week, not to be harsh on the man who's the most accurate 99% of the time, but I think it's pretty obvious that he adjusted bad guy to be higher off of last week when the margin between bad guy and senorita was basically exactly what he expected if not smaller, so it would've been more accurate to assume he's been overshooting on otr rather than the reverse. I'd be shocked if bad guy actually beats truth hurts this week.

With the Lover video and the album release coming, it might be the first track she's done in a while that actually goes up in week two.
