All-time chart has been recalibrated to lower the weight of songs charting since 2023. This means that while Anti-Hero and Cruel Summer still remain her #2 and #3 biggest hits, the gap between them and Shake It Off has widened a bit.
I don't have the exact numbers, but I estimate Cruel Summer will be about 130k below Shake It Off now. It would take about 7 more weeks in the top 10 to accrue that. Feels a bit of a reach now, but with at least 10 more weeks on the chart until any real danger of going recurrent, it's definitely still possible.

Interesting on how they weigh the songs now. I guess things keep changing. CS is one of those amazing and unusual success stories.

Anyone that doesn’t think this is her biggest hit needs to remember that every Taylor Swift fan has already had four years of time to play this song to death before it even started going on this record-breaking run. There’s well over a million people that actually purchased, not streamed, Lover, whose plays of this won’t be ever registered on all time stats. It’s probably her biggest hit just on pure chart performance alone, but add in the fact that not one week of its run came from initial release hype, and it’s simply undeniable. Well, not excatly. It did chart for two weeks (29-71) upon the album release in August 2019. |

Whether it is her biggest or not, who knows? Too many hits for her but for me, the amazing this with this is her fans wanted this song and made it a hit. It was not like it jumped up on the Billboard Hot 100 in the Top 10 and then fell off after a week or two or three. It has hung on even through the Christmas onslaught.

Let's be for real, of that million people that got Lover less than 5% actually take the CD or vinyl out to play it instead of just streaming it. It's not like during the iTunes heyday where you would have gotten CS back in 2019 from the store and then your iPhone plays would never impact the song's run beyond that single week.
I think this is her biggest hit yet. Yes I know some metrics aren't quite there yet but it's not like this is doing Look What You Made Me Do levels of drops. It's still adding a sizable amount of points.

It is and was an iconic moment for her. It's hard to gauge what is truly smashing itself and what is just coasting on being part of her catalogue because most of her songs are doing great because she is just that big rn. I think LWYMMD has saved some face since release and hardly gets the ridicule and hate it faced back then but I still wouldn't expect it to be amongst the top 10 songs most people would name by her.

This probably will be her biggest chart hit. I could see it returning to the top 10 in the summer and get like 65 weeks on chart. I would still say Blank Space is her signature hit.

It also really benefits from having one of the biggest and best set pieces on the era tour (helps that they make it a bit rock). rep tour also gave it a good boost with a nice performance. I would say lmymmd is in her top twenty but that's mostly because her top 10 is full of some many classic. rep proper also saves some for face with don't blame me being a streaming classic and delicate continuing to hold its own. |

No, but I've been tracking Cruel Summer's global Spotify position daily since the beginning of this year. January 8: 161 February 8: 129 March 8: 98 February 10th is when Cruel Summer passed Blank Space. CS is also on track to be the most streamed track of 2019, helped by a comparatively weaker current #1, Dance Monkey. |

It’s global longevity is insane and could challenge for most streamed song on Spotify in 2026. Has the 2nd most weeks above 30m weekly streamed, tied with Blinding Lights and only behind As It Was.

To be honest, given how well it has done through winter and spring, I don't think there is much association in people's minds with it and summer beyond the title |

There was never any reason to expect this to not do well outside of the summer. I recall people in 2019 saying The Man made sense as a single because CS had to be saved for summer 2020 and I always found that weird because I loved this since album release and that was August lol

It all ended up working out for the best imo. The Man now has 700M on Spotify, You Need To Calm Down is an Apple Music staple, Lover is slowly but surely becoming the classic we all knew it was and Cruel Summer smashed beyond our wildest streams. We also try and pretend the other one doesn’t exist.
