Billboard Top 10 Flashback: 01 NE Shake It Off - Taylor Swift (1st of 4 weeks at #1)Ah yes. One of the anti-haters song from T-Swift. Being honest, the instrumental of this song is really great. Unfortunately, the song is not that good. And to this day, this is still my least favorite Swift's song.

September 6, 201401 NE Shake It Off - Taylor Swift (1st of 4 weeks at #1)02 39 Anaconda - Nicki Minaj 03 02 All About That Bass - Meghan Trainor 04 03 Stay With Me - Sam Smith 05 01 Rude - MAGIC! 06 08 Black Widow - Iggy Azalea feat. Rita Ora 07 04 Break Free - Ariana Grande feat. Zedd 08 09 Chandelier - Sia 09 10 Bang Bang - Jessie J, Ariana Grande & Nicki Minaj 10 06 Am I Wrong - Nico & Vinz This is SUCH a strong top 10. Like this has to be one of the strongest top 10s ever, statistically/popularity wise.... Every song in this top 10 has to be eligible for atleast 5x Platinum. Except for Anaconda... which was still a humongous viral hit the public couldn't stop talking about & the VEVO record video at the time so. Like all these songs were such smashes.

Agree, 2014 top 10 brings back so much memories. Around that time I began to follow the charts (I believe one week earlier was that week, as I remember my first time was when Black Widow first reached the region).

Every song in this Top 10 is iconic (although not much for "Black Widow" though, but I'll still consider it). 2014 is also the year where I started following the Billboard charts (The July 19 chart was the first one I looked up, which Break Free and Black Widow debuted)

Like this has to be one of the strongest top 10s ever, statistically/popularity wise.... For real. All of these were massive hits still big in popularity today save maybe Black Widow, which was still massive yet I feel has been obershadowed by Fancy in recent years, and Am I Wrong which never felt as massive as the rest in this list, but was still a sizeable hit that I do hear on the rare ocassion still. The other 8 of these, though, are some of the biggest and/or well known songs of the decade. IIRC, Am I Wrong was pretty big worldwide, though, so that makes up for it not being quite as huge here in the states. Also, unrelated to the Hot 100, but all 10 of these made my personal chart's top 10. Possibly one of the only top 10s I can say this about, lol.

Ok but can we talk more about the 2009 top 10? Besides #6 which sucks and #10 which is good but kind of a hidden gem that’s like 8 classics!

Ngl most of the 2014 chart has been largely forgotten by the general public. When was the last time you heard someone talk about “rude” or “black widow” or “am I wrong”

With streaming nowadays, the "general public" can hear or remember any song they want.
Who forgets or remembers certain songs depends on the person

Billboard is taking their sweet time, looks like "Truth Hurts" is #1 and Taylor bomb is in full effect. I think the top 10 reveal will be tomorrow considering it's Labor Day in the States today :'(

the 2014 chart is 50/50 imo -- Chandelier, Shake It Off, and to a lesser extent Stay With Me and All About That Bass are still pretty well known. but i havent heard Am I Wrong, Break Free, Bang Bang or Black Widow in AGES and i suspect that's the case for most of the gp. Rude and Anaconda are somewhere in the middle, as i feel like some people vaguely remember them as remnants of their time in the same way they would Harlem Shake or something.

I was in Europe this past summer and I heard Am I Wrong plenty of times. I also hear Bang Bang a lot in commercials. However, Happy is the song that will be remembered the most from that year.

Bang Bang is a popular singing contest piece too. Same with Stay With Me.
I only remember Black Widow as the only song Rita Ora ever had US chart success
