It's Nice To Have A Friend is good enough, fine last place even if some worse songs were more deserving. Happy to have been the final push that put ME! over it hehehe
One off a perfect ranking for London Boy! Cool enough sound but awkward lyrics. Happy it's gone :D
With I Forgot That You Existed gone, I lost 14-16 first haha. Pretty good bottom 3, all of them are lower teir here. My bottom 2 needs to go out asap though, especially my #18. Dunno who's keeping that one afloat still haha.
Poor ME! Was a jam, still a jam, love it! Production aside it's awesome, but no complaints seeing it here haha.

Oh yay, none of my top 10 got eliminated. I though London Boy was more liked tbh, since it's such a fun and bouncy song. Would probably be in my top 10 if I submit now. Also ME! only really become "that" bad after the entire album came out, imo. If I went by my first first impression of ME! (Like, it's release as lead single) it would have been top 10 in my list :x

ME! is the catchiest song on the album. I can't believe boring ass Daylight, Afterglow, Thousand Cuts (among others) will rank above it.

"ME!" is a phat bop. Not worthy of a top 10 placement in the final results but not as bad as it's painted out to be.

With "Me!" it isn't love, it isn't hate it's just indifference.

Me too! I guess we are in sync with the Taylor hive mind. Just to be clear I really like all 4 of those songs, they are just not as strong as the rest of the album. That is just the strength of Lover. Shocked that two people put Me at #1 though.

So far the only thing that upsets me is "London Boy" being so low. When I first got the album, it didn't stand out to me at all, but it was a major grower and it ended up being one of the songs I couldn't get out of my head after like 6+ listens to the record. The melody of that song is just perfection. It really grabbed me and I think the references to London are all well-executed and overall it's a much better tribute than "Welcome to New York" (though I think that one's overhated as well). The little spoken intro about riding on the scooter is also a random tidbit that I enjoy about the song, lol.
"I Forgot That You Existed" and "It's Nice to Have a Friend" are both just kinda meh/"there," and "ME!" is a decent song imo but it's just that bridge that drags it down.

βLondon Boyβ is easy to hate and rank low (I did!) because the lyrics feel so un-self-aware. But Iβll concede that, melodically, itβs an absolute bop. You can hear how much fun sheβs having on the recordingβso much so, in fact, that I almost but into the idea that the lyrics are actually tongue-in-cheek.

I'm not surprised that London Boy is that low even though I rated it in my Top 10 because it is such a grower. I don't like it at first also. I Forgot That You Existed is also a song I've grown to like. I'm happy that Me! was at the bottom though, it's a bop but its the song I always skip now.

"ME!" is cute y'all just don't know what fun is. She's not the best but not the worst.
Some of y'all don't have friends.
"I Forgot That You Existed" deserves better.
But most of all, "London Boy"??? What did the English ever do to yall.

Hey I didn't get to post the next group of ranks on Friday but hope to get to most on Saturday - weather pending (hurricane hitting here tomorrow afternoon/evening) so I'll do what I can. Also, there's been a last minute change as one of the lists that was sent to me, I got clarification on earlier today so we're back up to 59! That presents no changes to the reveals so far, and nothing has changed with any of the facts and figures. All that changed were the point totals, so we'll continue as normal tomorrow.

Deserved a tad bit higher but not that big of a loss. Definitely one of the highlights of the album lyrically speaking

Earlier I mentioned that 3 songs were separated by just 4 points but since the late addition to the final list was added in, that's changed a bit. #13 is only 17 points below #9, which puts those five songs all within reach to swap places with each other. THAT'S how close some of these songs were after 59 lists! While I was tabulating, #13 spent most of the time in the top 10, sitting for a significant time at #7 but the last half dozen lists pushed it down to its resting place of Taylor's favourite number. Maybe she'd be pleased?

Saying goodbye to βDeath By a Thousand Cutsβ is death by 56 cuts. (one for each of you who didnβt put it in the top 3)

Damn, thatβs the first reveal where I ranked the song lower than the overall ranking.
Iβm not sure why βFalse Godβ hasnβt clicked for me yet, but it just hasnβt

At #12 is another song that was liked more by the earlier contributors than the latecomers, which is interesting to me.

Is βFalse Godβ the first that was ranked at each of the 18 spots by at least one person?
