LABEL CHANGES: Points will be given as 18, 10, 8, 6, and 3 for label points. Labels will be allowed to sign 3 artist to a long term contract. With a long-term contract an artist is signed to that label for as many albums as the label head wants. The labels can sign 2 additional artist to short-term contracts. These artist will only get 1 album and then will be retired. Labels can sign any combination of 2 Female Artist, 2 Male Artist, and 2 Groups/Duos, with a max of 5 artist signed. If a label wants to sign 2 female artist and 1 male artist to a long-term contract then they can.
Going forward feel free to vote on what the next single for each artist should be right in thread. Polls are still available on the website and you can also send me a PM to vote as well.
Please note if you want to change your Long-Term Artist or Short-Term Artist.
The next 3 Male Artist, and 3 Groups/Duos that are retired will open additional spots for Female Artist, since the consensus is that more female artist are wanted.

I did not really paid attention to The JaneDear Girls before joining this game, but I would say their outputs here have been constantly impressing me. Lucky You and Sing Along are great discoveries to me. I'm glad you've been enjoying them! Their debut album was incredibly solid imo and I'm really sad that they split up right after it ran its course because I would've loved to see what else they would've delivered if they'd stayed together longer. They felt a little bit ahead of their time because they came out literally *just* before the bro-country wave took hold of the genre, and they feel like one of the few female acts that would've potentially been able to cut through the male domination during that time.

I can't believe how badly Jo Dee fell off this year... She was the primary one that I was most surprised to see not make the top 10, as she's been right up there with Sara/Martina as one of the top 3 biggest women on the chart! Also a little surprised Faith didn't make it, although she did take a few weeks off at the beginning of the year and then "You're Still Here" wasn't as big of a hit as most other ladies' second hits, which put her a little bit behind... Well Jo Dee went from her best album, Delicious Surprise, to charting a bunch of random unreleased tracks and mid-tier album cuts, so I'm not surprised at all by this really, lol.

Waaaaaiiiiit a minute castleoblivion26 I just noticed while catching up on the data for 2023 that you said "When Love Comes Around Again" was on Week 4 when it debuted, but it actually debuted on Week 1. "I Got A Car" was literally on the chart one week (12/19 - 12/25), and then "When Love Comes Around Again" was on the chart the next week (12/26 - 1/1). If you could double-check the weeks on that one when you get a chance, I'm pretty sure I should only be on 6 Maybe not a huge deal so far, but if you start trying to retire me nearly 5 weeks early it'll be a pretty big deal in the end 😂 Lmao!

I will definitely double check that. Thanks for the catch! UPDATE: Double checked it and it was in fact off. I have fixed everything so going forward it should be correct. George is at Week 7 this week and will be on Week 8 next. If anyone notices any other weeks that are off please let me know!

I just caught up on the data up to today's chart, and I was just going to say he has been charting for 7 weeks! Watch this song be a 3-week #1 now that we've freed up a little more wiggle room in the amount of time it can spend at/near its peak

This is very true. Who is even managing this woman, anyway? Although, there was NO excuse for "When I Call Your Name" to flop the way that it did :'( It's one of those rare magical covers that does everything right...
