Also, I hope Circles does rise to #4 and not #3 because then Post's singles from this album would have peaked at:
#1 Sunflower #2 Wow. #3 Goodbyes #4 Circles

SYL better not block TWYW from hitting the top 10. If TWYW debuts at #11, that would be his fault...because he included Sunflower in Hollywood's Bleeding.

Some Post Malone Fans Think He Discovered Ozzy Osbourne After A Feature On His New Album…. Cameron // Middays September 9th
These fans are definitely embarrassing themselves!
Post Malone just released his highly anticipated new album, “Hollywood Is Bleeding” on Friday (9/6). One of the new tracks on the album is a song that features Ozzy Osbourne, and Travis Scott, called, Take What You Want.
If you know basically anything about the history of music, you know that Ozzy Osbourne is one of the biggest names in rock music thanks to his career with Black Sabbath. Well some Post Malone fans seem to think that Post Malone, “discovered” an unknown Ozzy Osbourne and put him on the map….
You just have to laugh. Take a look at some of these ridiculous tweets:
who tf is ozzy osbourne ???!??! this is why I love post malone for shining light on unknown artists
— Edd (@edxxard) September 6, 2019 Idk who Ozzy Osbourne is but he’s about to be huge after Post Malone featured him pic.twitter.com/mrpWHlN77Z

I don't doubt some people legit don't know who Ozzy is, but did this same exact thing not play out with Paul McCartney on 'FourFiveSeconds'? Some of those tweets seem memetic.

Even though Circles, the worst song of the year (which sounds like if two very bad Katy Perry and Maroon 5 songs were mixed together), came out a week before the album as a huge spoiler/warning of what's to come, I still felt physically and psychically ill listening to that turd of an album. By the end, I thought that I was listening to Imagine Dragons album. I no longer believe in the God!

I also hope “Circles” can peak at #4, and I hope that another song off the album can perform like “Better Now” and become a hit after the album release and peak at #5.
I’ve always been satisfied by how the singles from Janet Jackson’s “Control” all peaked at 1-5, although they didn’t do it in descending order. “Hollywood’s Bleeding” could top that.

I hate the fact that everything early critics of Post said about him is turning out to be right. I always joked about him being a King of pop, rock and what not, but now that he's really about to become a full blown pop/rock or country singer, a shitty and unlistenable one at that, I'm losing my mind. The good thing is that I won't have to watch that tragedy for too long because his career won't live enough to see the next decade (which is just a few months away).

Billboard needs to ban Post's album from hip-hop charts just like they banned Lil Nas X song from country charts!
The fact that Hollywood's Bleeding is labeled as hip-hop is the biggest joke of the year!
(And no, I won't stop bitching. I'm just getting started!)

The definition of “Hip-Hop” has become so blurred in recent times. The audacity to label Malone any form of a Rap artist is hilarious in itself. I can’t wait for his next album to be a full-blown Pop/Rock/Folk record and for him to still be categorised as “Hip-Hop” because he ‘talk-sings’ several lines on certain songs and collaborated with Rappers. At this point, Gwen Stefani and especially Fergie should have been labelled as “Hip-Hop” acts, whether or not they were marketed as such. How is ‘London Bridge’ or ‘Glamorous’ any less “Hip-Hop” than ‘Sunflower’ or ‘Circles’? LMFAO!

I've always thought Post Malone should never be thought of as a hip-hop/rap artist for the simple fact that he's never made hip-hop/rap music and has vehemently stated time and time again that he didn't want to be labelled a rapper or a rap artist.
He just wants to make whatever kind of music he wants and from that standpoint, I can respect that. On his own part, I wish he'd stop labelling his albums as hip-hop/rap albums because they simply aren't.
On the other hand, I don't believe he's going anywhere anytime soon so anyone thinking his career will be coming to an end soon will be waiting for a while.

Aren't the genre charts all dependent on if those genre stations play it or not? I actually don't know lol

However, that didn’t stop her record label and other critics, marketeers recognising it as a “Pop” album with “R&B/Hip-Hop” influences. As I said, ‘London Bridge; Glamorous; Fergalicious’ etc. are no less “Hip-Hop” songs than some of those in which Malone has released. Even a song like “Big Girls Don’t Cry”, which is a Pop/Rock record, is still similar to ballads that Malone has released and he’s still labelled a “Rap” artist.

thegreatdivineFergie was outright ‘SPITTING’ on “Glamorous”, along with Ludacris. Malone’s “Rockstar” was the male, 2017 version.

kierz7 I wouldn't call anything Post Malone does as "spitting." He croons rapper-esque lyrics on mostly hip-hop production and features rappers and so people think he makes rap music or equate him to being a rapper but he really isn't. I can't name a single song where I can state for a fact that Post Malone is ACTUALLY rapping on and not just crooning. Bryson Tiller, who is predominantly an R&B singer, has songs where he's actually rapped. So does Trey Songz, Chris Brown and a whole bunch of other singers. Post Malone doesn't have any of that. He just croons and yodels over trap production, but that doesn't equate to rap music.

In case I get banned, don't forget the following facts:
1. Circles is the worst song of the year 2. Hollywood's Bleeding is the worst album of the year 3. Post Malone has thrown his old fans (and hip-hop) under the bus and turned into Imagine Dragons/Maroon 5 sounding nightmare 4. Billboard is a joke and not a real popularity chart

I agree with the argument about albums and the genres they're labeled not being true to the type of music they actually are. But I do wonder whether albums and artists get labeled as they do, when they're not clear-cut defined by a single genre, because they're more likely to appeal to people who actively seek out music of that genre. Post Malone, for example, isn't a rapper and doesn't make rap music, but when he first came out, his music was heavily hip-hop-leaning and he featured rappers on his music, so he's more likely to appeal to people who listen to hip-hop than, say, if his album was labeled "pop" or whatever else. The same with Fergie. Many of her singles were more hip-hop than pop but fans of hip-hop and rap aren't likely to be as interested in her as fans of pop would, so it's easier (and better for her if popularity/sales/etc is the end goal [ spoiler alert: it is ] ) to label her as pop.
