With the Kanye West album not arriving it appears, it appears not much will be happening this chart week. As far as I can tell, the new releases are really going to come down to that new French Montana single, Slide by Her & YG, Good Thing by Zedd & Kehlani, NBA YoungBoy’s existing media of some sort that’ll be gone in 2 weeks anyways, Nicki Minaj’s same if not in one week and Trampoline remix w/ Zayn.

Writing On The Wall should be an easy Top 10 for Post Malone and Cardi. It's a really great song and Cardi really shines!

I'm pleasantly surprised at how WOTW turned out, and the video is nice. Should be an easy top 20/10 hit for them. I still walked away feeling that French was somewhat not needed on his own song though. Malone's part is solid and Cardi stole the show.

DaBaby has the entire top 10 on AM with his album and 13 of the top 15, and its still pretty early. Only the 3rd album to do that this year.
He might chart his whole album

The French song isn’t going top 10 lmao yall overestimating Post’s feature pull and French’s relevance I don't think it will debut there (not sure if that's what you think people meant) but if French/his label give this a genuine push at radio as opposed to just throwing it out for adds and lazily relying on Post or Cardi's name, I think it can peak in the top 20 later and top 10 isn't out of reach. Why does everyone always seem to have a problem with French Montana? What's wrong with him? I'm not defending him myself, just curious. And yeah the song is quite alright. Video's pretty cool. I don't hate him, but he almost always feels unnecessary. Worse than having no star charisma whatsoever, he seems to have negative charisma which ends up canceling out the star power of his featured artists. Even if his lyrics were as good as one of his guest stars (or conversely, if his guest stars' verses were as weak as his), French would be the one who you walk away feeling like he can't carry a song because his delivery is so bleak. He isn't a great rapper or lyricist, I don't think he produces or composes, and at this point he has had enough features and appeared on enough tracks with much bigger acts that it is starting to feel like clout chasing more than a genuine love for music or friendship with any of these people. Of course I don't know if that last one is true but that is the vibe he gives off. Unforgettable is a really stellar exception - I love that song - and I find myself wanting to give most of the credit for it turning out so well to Swae. The 'DJ Khaled except he does try to rap' description really isn't that far off, but even Khaled has/had a personality to reel some people in. |

Anybody else like this new song Dance Monkey by Australian act Tones and I? It's already been a huge #1 in many countries all over the world, but in the US it's just barely begun to bubble under. I think it has huge potential, the only thing is that it might be perceived as having some negative political and racial undertones.

Although I doubt it’ll be nearly as big, maybe top 20 at most, or plays out where it does decent streaming, drops off, then decent radio and drops off, never quite reaching the chart. |

'Dance Monkey' the song is... fine, I guess. Tones & I has a really bizarre vocal affectation when she sings that I don't like nor understand and that brings the song down. I'd take it just to see another Australian break out in the US (given the rarity of that occurrence) but I wish it could've been happening to someone else.

Hope Writing on the Wall does well, the only thing holding the song back is French Montana himself, ironically. Post's hook is extremely catchy and Cardi did great.

Only 1.6M for Writing on the Wall on Spotify globally. Safe to say that it won't be top 20 on Hot 100. Most popular tracks by DaBaby did about same numbers but he has better success on AM.
Where's that info about Kanye's album btw? Please share the source when posting random news about artists dropping singles and albums.
