Because Kanye has deep issues and people like to pretend he doesn't because he's apparently really talented.
If most artists kept editing their albums after release they would get rightfully dragged.
The fact that it's still doing 200k makes me sad tbh. But good for him I guess? There's nothing he could do to turn off his fanbase apparently.

Kanye's legacy is already set even if he never scores another #1 album or hit single. It's unfortunate that he's revealing who he really is this late in his career, but at this point, he has already built a fanbase that will stick with him no matter what. If he announces an arena tour right now, he'll sell it out quickly. I stopped being a fan of his in 2016. I've listened to every album he has dropped since then no more than two times. It helps that his music really sucks these days.

Someone liked a post I made about Old Town Road back on April 7 when it was in its second week at #1. I don't get to be smug very often but I'd like to take this moment to do it just once: Old Town Road is definitely spending double digit weeks at #1 once it gets there. Mark the words of whoever said it first - and mark my words too if you want. Also, this one amused me too :kii: Why some of y'all acting like this about to be the biggest song of all time? YES! I was going through the 4/6, 4/13, and 4/20 threads just to read about OTR's ascension and I liked all the prophetic or ironic comments. Mayman's was perfect lol

(Matthew Knowles also released a CD single for the song to help its performance at the last minute but that didn’t do much at all). “Soldier” performed much better, peaking at #2 on Urban radio. 👌🏿

This was “YEAH!’s” format peaks earlier that year: • Pop: 46M • Rhythmic: 66M • Urban: 61M = 173M. This same week it broke the (then) airplay record.

A #3 peak (for both LMB and Soldier) ain't bad though, plus the album went triple platinum, it was a solid era for them. But I guess the songs just weren't as good as their previous work. They were past their prime and the Destiny's Child juggernaut was already starting to unravel, with Beyonce (and to some extent Kelly) establishing themselves as solo stars.

"Lose You to Love Me" had 17200 points with 2 days of tracking?!
So that was ~8500 points/day, and if it can get 5000 points/day for the rest of the tracking week, it should have a good chance at #1 right?

I may be in the minority for this, but it would be cool to see a very extremely weak peaking top 3. Like a number one song peaking at 25,000 points.

If you're going to release an album, why not finish it completely? I can tell that the mixing is off, but why not fix it and then release it later? Okay, all rappers have album bombs on AM and Spotify, Kanye barely did anything chart wise with Ye anyways so... What does mixing mean? I keep seeing this criticism but don’t know what it means or how to listen for it in jesus is King Sound mixing is balancing/tweaking all the audio files on a track (vocals, instruments, computer effects etc). I haven't listened to the album but a badly mixed song is apparent with the audio level, too loud or all over the place.
