I agree that it's the worst number one of 2019 but compared to the worst number ones of other years, it's not as bad. 2017 was such a light year for bad #1's though like what was the worst #1 of that year Shape Of You? Certainly a song with a annoying chart run but the song itself was only sorta bad. Look What You Made Me Do sucked |

SYL is for me a GREAT song.

Look What You Made Me Do sucked This. Idk why this song has gotten more fans lately, but it is one of the most baffling number one songs of the entire decade. Like I don’t like Shape of you much either, but I can see it’s appeal to soccer moms in their forties and radio stations love to cling onto “safe” music. But God, LWYMMD really is a travesty without a melody, and this is coming from someone who thinks 1989 is one of the best pop albums of the decade easily. |

Oh God, I'm so happy for Lewis and (and notgoodenglish too). I really thought that Memories will be #10 this week, 10,000 hours is annoying. We'll probably see 3 new top 10s next week (Kanye, Selena and Lizzo). Just logged in here. Yes I thought so too about Memories, but almost there to hit top 10. Could be next week or the week after? Someone You Loved is a great ballad song. I like the mix of number ones this year. Much better than previous years. If only a rock/EDM/Acapella song could close off the year. Selena Gomez new song, I am surprised at its debut. Was expecting 30-40 range. When I compare the numbers of airplay/sales/streaming with Lizzo's Turth Hurts, I see "Digital Sales" as important in this case, despite many persons keep saying it's a waste. When the overall chart points are low from airplay and streaming, sales help boost a song. |

This IS the best #1 of the year. Classic and timeless song. It feels like it could have been a #1 hit from every decade since the 70's. Much better than the trap (pop, country, etc.) that has been polluting the the Hot 100 lately. To each their own, but man I don't think Capaldi can sing. Like at all. It's better than 7 rings, but calling it a timeless song doesn't automatically mean its good. Plus, imo music should try to evolve, so it being able to come out in any decade since the 70's simply means that it is rather basic and regressive. That being said, congrats to Capaldi he must be super happy. Are you saying Ariana grande can’t sing |
