What You See Is What You Get (2019)Following the massive success of his debut studio album This One's For You, Luke Combs released an EP titled The Prequel on June 7, 2019. It included what would later become the first five tracks from his second studio album, What You See Is What You Get, which was released on November 8, 2019. As of this post it includes three singles, two of which are yet another set of #1s and one currently climbing the charts.Upon its release, this album debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 chart with first-week sales of 172,000 album-equivalents units, of which 109,000 are pure sales. The album also holds the distinction of having the largest first-week sales for a country album since Carrie Underwood's Cry Pretty in 2018, as well as the distinction of having the biggest week in terms of streams for a country album on record. As of January 2020, this album has sold 196,300 copies, with 677,000 units consumed in total. The album also topped the ARIA Albums Chart, becoming Luke's first number-one album there.Luke Combs will headline the C2C: Country to Country festival in Europe this year to promote this album.Tracklist (Runtime: 59:42)1. I will do this. I assume I will have enough time to finish this and the 2013 Christian rankdown in a week. So we'll see how this goes :)

This was the second (well third if we're counting the Kacey features RD that never got revealed) ever country rankdown I've ever done, the first being Golden Hour. Excited to see the results for this and how I line up with everyone else.

I don't know about everyone else but some of the songs I listed in the bottom 7 could easily be top 5 on so many albums. This is really jam-packed! So many hard choices!

1. What will be #1? "Even Though I'm Leaving"
2. What will be #17? Hard to guess but I'll say something like "Angels Workin' Over Time" or "Better Together"
3. Which songs will be in the Top 5? Both "Even Though I'm Leaving" and "Beer Never Broke My Heart" seem like obvious choices along with the title track and "Refrigerator Door". Not sure which song will round out the top five but I could see the third single "Does To Me" just sneaking in
4. Which song will be most polarizing? I'm expecting results to quite varied overall so maybe something like "Moon Over Mexico", "1, 2 Many", or "Reasons" Least? "Even Though I'm Leaving"
5. Which of the three singles will place highest? "Even Though I'm Leaving" Lowest? "Does To Me"
6. Which album track are you hoping to see place highest? "Moon Over Mexico" for sure, but that's asking a lot so I'll guess the title track
7. Any other thoughts/predictions? I hadn't found the time beforehand to listen to this album, so for that I'm always thankful for these rankdowns because I discovered quite a few songs that I really liked. As I mentioned above, though, I think the results will be quite varied and so I'm expecting quite a few surprises as well. While I wouldn't say that this album has a lot of filler, overall I'm just not really a fan of albums of this length as 17 songs is just a bit too much for me. That isn't to say that it takes away from the quality of the material, but everything kind of starts to blend together at some point.

1. What will be #1?
Probably Even Though I'm Leaving
2. What will be #17?
Blue Collar Boys
3. Which songs will be in the Top 5?
Even Though I'm Leaving, Better Together, Does to Me, Beer Never Broke My Heart, Refrigerator Door
4. Which song will be most polarizing? Least?
Most: What you See is What you Get
Least: Even Though I'm Leaving
5. Which of the three singles ("Beer Never Broke My Heart," "Even Though I'm Leaving," "Does To Me") will place highest? Lowest?
Highest: Even Though I'm Leaving (see the pattern here?)
Lowest: Beer Never Broke My Heart but I think this and Does to Me could be right next to each other
6. Which album track are you hoping to see place highest?
Lovin' On You
7. Any other thoughts/predictions?
There is going to be big standard deviations for a lot of tracks simply due to the fact that there are so many good choices. I said it before but even tracks 11-14 can be top 5 on a lot of albums. Plus, Combs has that universal flavor for everyone, and that will probably show most in the variety of placements for these different flavors.
Also, I wonder if a war of words will break out thanks to these placements. I'm even willing to fight some people if there are tracks that place too low. I've bit my tongue on a bunch of these but I'm ready to fight...mostly because I am going stir crazy here in New York City!

I like every song on this album. Only my bottom two would miss a typical Year-End Hot 100 best list for me, and they'd still likely be honorable mentions. Spoiler, but my #1 is probably the only song in Luke's discography that couldn't be released as a single.

1. What will be #1? Even Though I'm Leaving
2. What will be #17? No idea! Blue Collar Boys?
3. Which songs will be in the Top 5? Even Though I'm Leaving, Beer, Refrigerator Door, Better Together, Moon Over Mexico
4. Which song will be most polarizing? Least? Maybe Does to Me just because some will rank it high since it's a single now. Even Though I'm Leaving
5. Which of the three singles ("Beer Never Broke My Heart," "Even Though I'm Leaving," "Does To Me") will place highest? Lowest? Highest: Even Though I'm Leaving Lowest: Does to Me (still not sure how it was the third single)
6. Which album track are you hoping to see place highest? I'm really hoping "Every Little Bit Helps" doesn't get overlooked since it wasn't on The Prequel (all of those almost feel like promo singles to me)

I spent an entire day with a gorgeous melody stuck in my head and I couldn't find what song it was. Then I tried a couple of songs from my Country Icons playlist (like Reba or Martina) and I didn't find it there either. Then I remembered I did this rankdown and I immediately clicked on a certain song because I had a feeling it'd be the one I was looking for. And it was. I have this at #2 but honestly it's one of my favorite country songs I've heard. Already.
