16 vs 19. So I'm fine with either winning.

I was Team Anything But STIUtK once we reached top 4, so... I'm very happy the best songs are the top two. Pleasantly surprised to see Counting Stars out earlier than I expected.

3. Somebody That I Used To Know - my only perfect ranking of this entire rankdown lol
I’m hoping Adele can pull off the win but I’m fine with either song winning.

The glee cover of STIUTK was actually pretty good. Or at least the episode was.
I might’ve underranked it as it is pretty interesting lyrically and production wise, but I don’t have much reason to go back to it

Imagine ranking any of these two songs at the bottom half.
Great winner.

Thanks to everyone here who helped make this rankdown as much of a blast as it is, from simply viewing the thread, to submitting, to asking to be added to the taglist, for following along in the reveals, and so on. I hope all of you have had as much fun with this rankdown as I did.
I am still planning on doing some more post-rankdown stats (such as member closeness, final stats, songs ranked by median, standard deviation, among others) so stay tuned for those if you're interested!

Yay! If RITD couldn’t win my RD, I’m glad it won this one, with a lot more competition. And keep up my streak of one of my top 10s winning .
Thank you Lukas for hosting! Now to work on #1s of the decade

oh what a relief. Bad Romance is not bad but I fail at enjoying it as much as you. RITD is an amazing song so I'm really glad it won

Pleasantly surprised that Gotye beat Taylor. Not a fan of this top two, obviously, but I never thought I’d be so glad to see “Rolling in the Deep”. At least it’s the one song out of the final two that I can still somewhat enjoy. I love how I was the lowest rank for both of the top two.

Well, color me very, very surprised that "Bad Romance" didn't win, though I'm happy that Adele got something. Lord knows she deserves it. Lukas *, great job hosting what had to be a difficult rankdown to host. You did very well, especially given the amount of participants. * Apparently, there's no one on Pulse with "@lukas" as their name. That's surprising.

Rihanna ft. Calvin Harris - We Found Love: 7/10, ranked #36
This is a bop when the mood strikes, but it does suffer from the nondescript-ness that plagued early Calvin Harris sound.
Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars - Uptown Funk!: 10/10, ranked #5
I swear I will never get tired of this song. This is a bop that will be an all-time classic.
Bruno Mars - Locked Out Of Heaven: 9/10, ranked #17
I will never get tired of this too, Bruno returning to this kind of sound would be pretty quality.
The Weeknd - The Hills: 9/10, ranked #16
Not one of my favourite Abel songs but it's immaculately made (as immaculate as such an intentionally flawed setup can be) and its influence on the current chart scene is undeniable.
Adele - Someone Like You: 10/10, ranked #10
I prefer this to the rankdown winner personally, while it is still a piano ballad, it's possibly one of the most well-made and heartfelt songs the genre has ever produced.
OneRepublic - Counting Stars: 7/10, ranked #33
Another damn good radio filler song, but overplay has still had a somewhat negative effect on it.
Taylor Swift - Blank Space: 8/10, ranked #27
One of the best decisions from an artist who's single choices have been infamously poor. Taylor sounds great and the lyrics parody her persona to great effect.
Gotye ft. Kimbra - Somebody That I Used To Know: 10/10, ranked #1
Not gonna lie I was not expecting this to do as well as it did. This song is almost too good for the pop charts and I am so happy it was as big of a hit as it was. The sound is unique but not off-putting at all, both artist turn in stellar performances, and the lyrical and thematical deconstruction of the breakup song is brilliant. One of my all-time favourite pop songs.
Lady Gaga - Bad Romance: 9/10, ranked #19
Another song I respect more than I love, but I still find it fantastic regardless. It's one that I find really hard to explain why I like it, but I do.
Adele - Rolling In The Deep: 9/10, ranked #14
Even if I don't love it as much as others, a very deserved winner. A great sound, one of Adele's best vocal performances, and genuine catharsis in the lyrics, but overplay souring stopped this from being a 10/10 for me.

* Apparently, there's no one on Pulse with "@lukas" as their name. That's surprising. Well I'm surprised by that info as well lol. In fact, the only reason why I added extra numbers to my username was because I was 100% sure that "@lukas" was already taken by someone else. I'm fine with my username as is though so I won't change anything.
