I guess the American Music Awards could have a significant impact on the songs being performed and awarded. I can see a one or a couple of songs re-entering the top 10 of the Hot 100. Probably a decent one week shakeup.

He did it again. Drake's 26th #1, PARTY's 1st on Apple Music.
It'll be Hot 100 entry #206 for Drake. One more then he'll tie the all-time record.
3 more top 10s to tie Madonna, but I don't think this song will debut top 10.

It's pretty bland. I don't expect it to do any damage on Spotify. It should debut in the 40-60 range on the Hot 100.

Don't expect the PND-Drake collab to make much of an impact. It'll have good first week numbers but be forgotten afterwards. And aside from Come and See Me, PND isn't exactly a name that moves numbers or demands attention.
I think even Drake fans can admit not paying too much attention to other artists signed to OVO

Isn't the streaming too weak though? No spotify, no youtube It's #15 on Spotify with both versions combined. It's also getting performed on the AMAs on Sunday. Potentially a new music video is releasing this week too.

If the PARTYNEXTDOOR/Drake song manages to debut within the top 40, it'll mark Drake's record-extending 100th top 40 hit.

I gotta second that yawn.
Quality over quantity is something Drake doesn't understand.
And how many chances are they giving PND? I don't think he's gonna happen.

Loyal debuted with 1.2 million on Spotify. Unless it plummets on both AM and Spotify, I think it'll be a top 40 debut.

Nine Trippie Redd songs debut in the top 50 on Spotify. How big do y’all think the album bomb’ll be?

I'd say top 10 is pretty unlikely, but I won't discount the power of an AM #1 considering that Woah by Lil Baby just debuted at #19 with the vast majority of its points coming solely from AM streams.

If it can keep its momentum, it'll debut pretty high.

More Drake hits *yawn*.... Can he disappear for like 2 years and THEN drop a lead single? Because then I’d actually be excited instead of tired

Drake continues to never break because it clearly works for him. People have been claiming they're tired of him and didn't wanna hear anymore since like... 2014, yet here we are and he's still doing fine.
You could argue if he actually took a long break then maybe the phenomena would finally start to wane off and people would get used to not hearing him.

As long as Drake releases a song that has matching quality like Nice For What, Take Care, Find Your Love, I will welcome the new Drake song.

LMAO.
This is the conversation we’re having now?
The charts really are DEAD.
Hopefully, January 2020 serves something interesting!

I gotta second that yawn. Quality over quantity is something Drake doesn't understand. And how many chances are they giving PND? I don't think he's gonna happen. Views and More Life are quality projects and if you trim Scorpion by like 5-6 songs, it's a quality project, too. People keep saying he should take a break, but he somehow manages to get bigger every album era so people clearly aren't tired of listening to him. Also, there's nothing wrong with an artist who loves to release music frequently. No one HAS TO listen to it, but they keep listening. Rihanna released an album every year from 2005-2012. Nothing Drake is doing is new.

But didn't his latest single as a lead artist only reach #75? It seems like he's relying on features to get hits, and only a few of his features have become hits this year.

What Drake needs to stop doing is releasing 20+ tracks on an album. He needs to take time to record his tracks and not rush through just so he could gain streaming records. 12-16 tracks should be fine enough. A lot of songs from Views and Scorpion were generic filler.
