Khalid--legend of longevity. I'd say Post Malone is the king of longevity, and Khalid is the prince of longevity Imagine Dragons

^For the Hot 100, I'd say Ed Sheeran is, among the artists currently charting, the king of longevity in the Hot 100 since he has 3 songs with 54 or more weeks charted. Post Malone has 2 songs with 52 weeks or more and Khalid 2 songs with 51 weeks or more. We'll see how this work out for the 2020s decade. But Ed Sheeran also has had hits that didnt last very long. Beautiful People & I Don't Care didnt last very long, and even without the Christmas music still wouldnt have lasted long Khalid had Up All Night and Post had Goodbyes, nitpicking a couple of outliers doesn't buck the overall trend

Feeling like Post Malone is about to get 3 52+ weeks since Circles won't move out the top 10

Even for them, those are outliers. Regarding Ed Sheeran, anything from his No. 6 Collaborations should be considered an anomaly and not likely (I'm not saying it's impossible) to get to 52 weeks, given that the songs are somewhat experimental for him.

Forgot about them, they are DEFINITELY the kings of longevity They also have 3 songs with 52 or more weeks in the Hot 100. So they're tied with Ed Sheeran. While they do have Radioactive, that charted before the more recent recurrent rule was instated. Believer and Thunder both managed 52 weeks under the current rules. Since Ed Sheeran has managed to have all of his 3 songs under the most current recurrent rules, I have to give him a slight edge.

Although i agree Sheeran probably gets the #1 in longevity, remember that although Believer was already going to drop out of the top 50 soon after it hit 52 weeks, Thunder was in the recurrent top 5 for quite awhile, even hitting #1 multiple times, so if the 25/52 rule didnt exist it probably would have gotten 60 weeks or more. But i agree Sheeran's record is even more impressove

Only Human managed to re-chart and pretty high as well (at #25). I'd put the song as a pure toss up for making the 2020 year end list.

Here's week 8 of my 2020 year end predictions. I re-added Only Human, I Don't Care and Beautiful People (doubt the last one will make it though).

Do you guys think that The Box could be the Year-End #1? It's too early to tell, I think. We were sure last year that the Year-End #1 was between "Without Me" and "Sunflower", until "Old Town Road" arrived in its country-trap glory. I think the future Year-End #1 is not in the top 20 yet, and maybe not even on the charts.

Okay, "Don't Start Now" just reached a new peak this week at #21 and it seems to be rising well on all three mediums. It seems to be fairly safe to make the Year-End now, hopefully. 🤞
With that in mind, my concern rests with "Lover" and "Take What You Want", with the former having a painfully slow rise in airplay while the latter just needs a proper single push while the hype is still there. I really need these two to make the Year-End

Alright, now that the christmas music has left us, I've also started my "predictions" list. But before we get to that, I'll show off the current state of the charts according to my calculations. The current cutoff for locked songs is 175.000 points - though I'm aware that this will most likely lower as the year goes on. I'll adjust as I go along.
New songs: Lil Nas X ft. Billy Ray Cyrus - Old Town Road Lil Baby - Woah Billie Eilish - everything i wanted Old Dominion - One Man Band Lil Tecca - Ran$om Luke Combs - Even Though I'm Leaving Taylor Swift - Lover The Weeknd - Heartless
Drop-outs (decided to remove this song because the chance of it returning any time soon is negligible): Brenda Lee - Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree
Locked songs: Lewis Capaldi - Someone You Loved Maroon 5 - Memories Lizzo - Good As Hell
Lowest locked song: Lizzo - Good As Hell
And now for the predictions - these are the songs that would make the year-end list if they either get to 20 weeks or remain for 10 more weeks (depending on multiple factors)

I hope we don't get too many repeats this year with the exception of "Circles" and "Someone You Loved", which were much bigger this chart year anyway.

How awesome would it be if Don't Start Now, Take what you want, Everything I wanted, Good As Hell, Dance Monkey, Lover, Heartless and Blinding Lights all make the Year End? That would automatically make this YE better than 2018 and 2019

"Adore You" deserves to make it, though, so I'll also be rooting for it. 👍

That would automatically make this YE better than 2018 and 2019 If all the songs we've been mentioning over these last few posts made the Year End, 2020 would undoubtedly be both better and more unique and diverse than 2018 and 2019. I could already build my top 5 songs of this chart year (so far) from this list alone 😍 On another note, I really love your profile picture 😂
