How many more weeks in top 50 for No Guidance to repeat in 2020 :DDDD Looking at my calculations - No Guidance needs to remain at most 6 weeks to be locked, and that's if it fell to 50 and remained there. I expect it to be locked in about 4 weeks, maybe even sooner if it gets enough of a boost from the christmas songs dropping out. I'd say it's in a pretty good position to repeat.

Wait. Does AIWFCIY really have a chance to make this YE? Exciting.
Also, I'm going to predict that The Box will be at least top 10 in the end.

Yes, AIWFCIY has a seriously good chance of making the top 100 of 2020. Probably between #80 & #100.
This week, she's #3, but that won't last. Here's my estimation of the top 100 songs of 2020, based on the charts up to and including January 4, 2020. First week of the calendar year but 6th week of the Billboard year!
The Christmas songs will all have nowhere to go but down. And I think Circles will remain atop this list for a long, long time. It won't stay #1 on the Hot 100, but it has a sizable lead that will increase next week when it returns to #1, and the song has legs. It'll stay on radio forever. I'm sure it's already a lock for the top 5 of 2020 at the end of the year.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Circles was the Year-End #1.

The longevity of Post Malone on the charts is insane. 5 songs (eventually including Circles) with 20+ weeks in the Top ten. Does he hold that record?

Likely contenders would probably be Drake, Rihanna, and Ed Sheeran, but I'm not too sure. Regardless, Post's longevity is impressive, and very much deserved, fortunately 😉

I’m skeptical of Circles’s ability to make it so high on the year end list tbh since 1. it already made last year’s, and 2. I know that Post is very good with chart longevity, so it’s reasonable to think Circles will remain in the upper ranges of the charts for months, but then again so are Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber, and Khalid, and both I Don’t Care and Beautiful People dropped out within 30 weeks of their runs

I don't think Billboard will include AIWFCIY or any Christmas song in the year-end if they are above the threshold.

With the slow rise of a Khalid hit and the stability of an Ed Sheeran hit, it had everything to be a longevity behemoth, but Christmas killed it too early 😢

I rememver seeing a "Top 50 without Christmas music" thing (i think ir was for either 12/14 or 12/21) and Beautiful People would have been at #38 even without Christmas stuff. It was already on its way out and definitely had less longeviry then a usual Khalid song (I Don't Care showed that Ed Sheeran doesn't always have good longevity)

^Hopefully, South of the Border can become a hit. I would have hoped for “Antisocial” or “Cross Me” to become hits, but I’ll take what I can get. Its boost was so unexpected, though, especially since this song seems to be tailored as a summer hit.

I guess between the poor longevity of both BP and IDC and the complete failure of Cross Me and Antisocial, the general public is getting sick of Ed Sheeran pretty quickly and I can’t blame them at all

Up All Night was a flop and Beautiful People didnt even hit top ten, and fell off muh quicker then most of his songs. I also worry about Ariana Grande, she flopped with Charlies Angels hard, but she could make a comeback

Up All Night was a loosie and Beautiful People was mostly Sheeran's song. When he starts the rollout for album 3 he'll do much better.

I hope Khalid's next album does well, but i think it'll be interesting to see if it does. It would be cool to see him get hid first #1 though. If he released in the winter he might be able to pull it off cause usually the #1s are weak from about September to early December (GLY, Circles, Heartless). Something funny i noticed is how despite his title of "king of longevity" and the fact that he has multiple 40+ week songs, hes never actually had a song reach 52 weeks. Think about it, the hits he had went like this Love Lies - 51wks (so, so, so unlucky) Better - 48wks Talk - i forget how many weeks but i THINK between 41-45

I also worry about Ariana Grande, she flopped with Charlies Angels hard, but she could make a comeback Both artists probably suffered from overexposure. If I'm not mistaken Khalid has been charting in the Hot 100 almost continuously since Location came out.
Ariana pretty much saturated by releasing Sweetener and Thank U, Next. While the Charlie's Angels soundtrack wasn't technically an album of hers, she did have heavy involvement in it. And releasing Monopoly and then Boyfriend just before Charlie's Angles had already set the point of saturation for her. About the song flopping, the fact that the movie itself flopped, didn't help the song. I do see her returning to success, but it doesn't seem likely she'll be as successful as when she had two back to back #1s in the Hot 100 with thank, u next and 7 Rings. She does need to give the GP a break for that to happen.

^For the Hot 100, I'd say Ed Sheeran is, among the artists currently charting, the king of longevity in the Hot 100 since he has 3 songs with 54 or more weeks charted. Post Malone has 2 songs with 52 weeks or more and Khalid 2 songs with 51 weeks or more. We'll see how this work out for the 2020s decade.

The latter is still lingering around the top 100 globally on apple music and was the 3rd biggest song of the decade and 9th best song of all time on billboard. Also he’s still the most streamed artist monthly on spotify I think ed is the king of longevity and post malone is a runner up for the throne while khalid is the prince
