I don't see any of the songs that re-entered this week making the year-end chart. Only Human is the only one with a chance really but it would have to last at least 6 more weeks.

Do you guys think that The Box could be the Year-End #1? No. I don't think it will get the necessary radio support for an extended chart life.

I’m really hoping for adore you, everything i wanted, don’t start now and especially blinding lights to hit the top 10/20 which they all most likely will. Imagine all the top 20 ranked videos having all these songs in the excellent tier by default

Speaking of Harry, do we think Watermelon Sugar will become a huge hit?

Speaking of Harry, do we think Watermelon Sugar will become a huge hit? Probably out of the question, promotion efforts will probably be focused on Adore You.

It's a crime "Adore You" may be a year-end a hit but not "Sign of the Times". Not that "Adore You" is bad, but "Sign of the Times" was amazing.

It did! I could of sworn it didn't for some reason. Must have confused it with "This Town", which I'm almost positive didn't make it.

^It actually managed to peak at #2 in Radio Songs, thanks to the remix.

Unless we get another song like Old Town Road this year, I would say that The Box had a good chance at #1 for Year-End. All it needs is radio support, a remix, and a proper music video to boost its longevity and get it.

How awesome would it be if Don't Start Now, Take what you want, Everything I wanted, Good As Hell, Dance Monkey, Lover, Heartless and Blinding Lights all make the Year End? That would automatically make this YE better than 2018 and 2019 Take What You Want is dead fam... as much as I love the song we gotta let it go now

The other songs however are more than likely to get in if they get longevity

Enemies will probably drop out within the next 2 weeks and Take What You Want will go recurrent after 20 weeks (which is soon). I think they actually tried pushing Take What You Want to pop radio but it didnt do goid so they kinda abandoned it and just kept going with Circles. Enemies im surpised has even lasted this long since it had zero promotion and was basically just a album track

Boy, the January 11, 2020 Hot 100 is the Chart of the Living Dead, isn't it? So many former hits coming back but already dying. So few songs really gaining new HPs despite the Christmas meltdown.
So many songs moved up the net effect was that on the year-end list, hardly anyone climbed much. They in some cases overtook the Chistmas tracks that got no points. But overall, for this early in the year, the list is very stagnant.
The Box is the biggest gainer, and likely to maintain that momentum next week. Will it get to the #1 song of the year? It's got a long, long way to go.

So 7 songs from the 2019 YE list returned this week:
25. Only Human 28. I Don't Care 29. Sucker 40. Talk 42. Beautiful People 43. Suge 47. Baby
I'm pretty sure the last 4 have almost no chance, but how likely will the other 3 songs make the 2020 YE list?

I have no idea why billboard made these songs come back. End of year radio playlists maybe? Even still, for those 3, I didn't see any streaming rebound

What do On Chill and Lover need to do to squeeze into this year end? I know both just hit the 20 week mark.

If Only Human can stay in the top 40 for 3 more weeks, it has a shot. 4 weeks holding steady for I Don't Care. Sucker has almost no chance, and the next 4 are just getting a "dead cat bounce". (A terrible metaphor, but also very apt.)

I would hate it if "Lover" and "On Chill" miss it only for "Only Human" and "I Don't Care" to repeat 🙄
This is giving me flashbacks of 2018 where "Believer" ended up making it at #100 over the likes of "Chun-Li" and "I'm A Mess", even if I prefer the former over the latter two.
