I think Hot Girl Bummer should be #100 because I think that song is horrible. As for #1 some possible cantidates could be Everything I Wanted, Blinding Lights, Cardigan, Don't Start Now, and My Future (if it makes the Year-End). hot girl bummer is another song that I feel like Iโm the only person that likes it, itโs a very fun song to listen to. You're aren't alone buddy as I also like "Hot Girl Bummer" so much

Iโm confused about what ridiculous about it, do you not like it or something? i indeed do not like it, but the main reason I said it was ridiculous is because its chart run was nowhere near strong enough for top 50 YE, if it had had the same chart run but last year instead of this year it would have a year end position of around #62 Oh I see. That's what happens when a year is as inconsistent as 2020 was.

In reference to my comment about 2014 being the worst year for the 2010s, here's my definitive ranking of the 2010s.
1. 2012 2. 2015 3. 2019 4. 2017 5. 2013 6. 2011 7. 2010 8. 2016 9. 2018 10. 2014

Bad Guy as well i'm a little bit less confident about that one I'm pretty sure RITMO will be between #55-65 on the Year-End.

A random question, but what do you guys think will be the #100 and #1 songs for 2020 YE Rankdown? I feel #1 will be either "Everything I Wanted" or (if it made it) "Cardigan". I think #100 is gonna be Best On Earth. Usually #100 isn't quite the worst song but it's the one that just nobody would put above like #75. There's probably gonna be a couple people who put worse songs like Memories, Hard To Forget & Stuck With U in the top 50 imagine if BEST ON EARTH is both #100 on the year end list and #100 on the pulse year end rankdown

With ROCKSTAR being unstoppable at number one and Blinding Lights' longevity, I think the new year-end Top 5 might be: 1. Blinding Lights 2. The Box 3. Circle 4. Donโt Start Now 5. ROCKSTAR When was the last time a top 5 was this good? I'd probably say 2012, in my personal opinion. The top 5 (even top 6) songs of that year were among my favourites of that year, and possibly the decade. All 10/10's, for me. Though I know they got their fair share of hate, for varying reasons. I can't really understand what there is to hate about "Lights", though. This top 5 is also quite good, even if "The Box" is only a 7/10, for me. On the other hand, I consider "Memories" to be, at best, a 3/10, so I'd be really glad for it to get kicked out of the top 5.

So does it look like Roddy and Harry are going to be the only artists with multiple songs in the ye top 20?

So does it look like Roddy and Harry are going to be the only artists with multiple songs in the ye top 20? Not if Post Malone, Maoron 5, Justin Bieber, billie eilish, Doja Cat, Dua Lipa, Drake, Megan Thee Stallion, or Lewis Capaldi release an instant smash hit in the next couple weeks. ;) Given what we've seen these past few years, I definitely wouldn't rule out that possibility. As of now, though, there doesn't seem to be anything suggesting other artists having multiple entries in the year-end top 20.

Tbh Post Malone, Drake and Justin wouldn't be impossible imo but that would be kind of unlikely

Have we figured out who looks to have the most overall YE hits so far this year? Probably Lil Baby He's certainly one of the contenders. Right now Roddy Ricch and DaBaby have 4, at least by my estimates, and Justin Bieber will have 4 if/when Stuck Wit U locks. Lil Baby, Juice WRLD, and Drake all have three, and quite a few have two. That's an intriguing list of contenders there.

I'm sure this has been mentioned before but this will be Post Malone's fourth consecutive year in the YE Top 10

I'm sure this has been mentioned before but this will be Post Malone's fourth consecutive year in the YE Top 10 hes unstoppable, dudes got a great ear for hooks. I might gripe that Circles had charted for too long getting carried by radio but it was a still a smash hit like every single hes released so far, i have no doubt his next era will be huge as well.

Have we figured out who looks to have the most overall YE hits so far this year? Lil Baby needs For The Night & The Bigger Picture to hold for 6. Roddy Ricch needs The Woo to hold up for 6 as well as for Walk 'Em Down to be above the cutoff.
Among women Billie Eilish is gonna get a chance at 3, whether My Future will last remains to be seen.

Is Bop going to make it though? I donโt know but My Oh My could. I'll probably post a full update on every dropped-out song's predicted Year-End position when I've calculated this week, but right now I have BOP at #37 and My Oh My at #40. Right now, I'd say the artists with potential for multiple top 20 Year-End hits are Roddy Ricch (Rockstar & The Box), Harry Styles (Adore You & Watermelon Sugar) and DaBaby (Rockstar & Whats Poppin, if the remix is credited at the end of the year). Drake could also make it if he drops his album in time, in which case Life Is Good and the lead single will probably be his top 20 hits.

is be kind's chances of making the year end pretty nonexistent now? like i know it advanced this week because of taylor's songs dropping but it looks like it'll drop off within this month.
also is a "robbery" (#100 last year) situation even possible for this song? i mean their chart runs look fairly similar (for me) except robbery peaked higher and sticked around longer and be kind spent more time in the top 50
for comparison here are their chart runs:
be kind 29-33-43-39-36-33-40-41-39-50-62-61-96-88 [14 weeks]
robbery 27-28-34-27-35-37-48-59-61-66-68-74-75-84-87-87-96-98 [18 weeks]
personally, i don't (radio dropped it waaaay hard) but would like to hear your thoughts!

@delphox how many weeks does "If The World Was Ending" needed to enter the locked cutoff? If The World Was Ending needs around 4 more weeks to lock, and it has 1 week left before it must stay above 50 or beat the recurrent rules. If it lasts 3 more weeks, its chances will be likely but not certain, 2 weeks would mean it's a complete tossup. Even if it only charts for 1 more week and goes recurrent after hitting 20 weeks, there is still a very slim chance it could just scrape by the bottom of the 2020 year end list.

The only way it can make the 2020 year end list at this point is if it lasts on the charts for a full 20 weeks. Even then, it would have to rely on a pretty low cutoff to scrape by. I'd say its chances are pretty much done now, as there's very little chance it will last on the bottom of the charts for 6 more weeks.

When was the last time a top 5 was this good? I'd probably say 2012, in my personal opinion. The top 5 (even top 6) songs of that year were among my favourites of that year, and possibly the decade. All 10/10's, for me. Though I know they got their fair share of hate, for varying reasons. I can't really understand what there is to hate about "Lights", though. This top 5 is also quite good, even if "The Box" is only a 7/10, for me. On the other hand, I consider "Memories" to be, at best, a 3/10, so I'd be really glad for it to get kicked out of the top 5. I echo that if I had to extend it to top five, 2012 is easily the best. Iโve seen many on this board propping 2012, and for me, some of the reasons are: - The alternative takeover giving pop music a new crossover hit from indie music every month instead of the usual one to two per year - these tend to age well compared to dance pop songs - The top three songs being from completely unheard acts at the time - Taylor Swift releasing a new album - The viral meme of Psyโs Gangnam Style exploding out of nowhere - Most pop artists making their last best hits (ex: Kelly Clarkson, Kesha, Flo Rida, Katy Perry, Maroon 5, etc) - My #1 song of the decade is from this year (Some Nights) Every year has its high points, but there were so many of them during 2012. I donโt think any year has come close to 2012 after 2016. If BL and Circles are the top 2 of this year, it probably beats out 2012โs top 2, but as a whole this year has been very incoherent. Two positives about this year is all the random TikTok hits and the fast #1 turnover.
