I have compiled a list consisting of the current year-end appearance streaks by artists as of 2019. The numbers in the brackets below signify the number of consecutive year-end appearances. I have only included artists who have made 3+ consecutive year end appearances. I have also made a list for the appearance streaks that are most likely to continue into 2020 as well as new streaks that are likely to happen. If I missed anything or if someone else has already compiled a similar list, let me know. Taylor Swift: 2007-2019 (13)Drake: 2009-2019 (11)

Why are we giving Chris Brown a 3 year YE streak in fucking 2020 again?

Even more cursed than a 3-year YE streak for Chris Brown is that 6ix9ine will potentially have one too, if either TROLLZ or GOOBA makes it.

If Adore You makes it into the Top 10 (as is it's projected to do right now), it'll only be a part of a handful of songs post-1991 that made the Top 10 of the year-end but spent less than 10 weeks in the Top 10:
Harry Styles - Adore You: 7 weeks, peaked at number 6 Post Malone - Congratulations: 6 weeks, peaked at number 8 Sam Hunt - Body Like a Back Road: 8 weeks, peaked at number 6 Baauer - Harlem Shake: 8 weeks, peaked at number 1 Carrie Underwood - Before He Cheats: 2 weeks, peaked at number 8 Toni Braxton - He Wasn't Man Enough: 7 weeks, peaked at number 2 Paula Cole - I Don't Wanna Wait: 0 weeks, peaked at number 11

How many weeks does Bluebird needs to make it to the Year End? Do you believe it will? I think it will need 5 weeks minimum to make the 2020 year end list. As long as it reaches 20 weeks on the chart I think it will be fine.

With Pop Smoke's album bomb killing off In Your Eyes, a Juice WRLD album bomb might kill off even more songs that are barely hanging on.
All of the following songs will miss the 2020 year end list if they drop out next week and not return:
1) Beer Can't Fix 2) After A Few 3) Yo Perreo Sola 4) Chicago Freestyle
5) Gooba 6) Trollz 7) In Between
I'm also a bit worried about Does To Me again, even though it should be high enough to outlast the onslaught next week. If it somehow does drop out and does not return, I have it just making the 2020 year end list at #98, but it would need at least another week to be somewhat safe.

Will Blinding Lights overtake The Box? I hope so but I wouldn’t be upset if The Box does the YE, both are good songs.

I think I have a decent idea of what the Top 10 will be:
1. The Box/Blinding Lights (60/40 chance) 2. The Box/Blinding Lights 3. Circles 4. Don't Start Now/Rockstar 5. Don't Start Now/Rockstar 6. Savage 7. Say So 8. Life Is Good 9. (Intentions? Or whatevers #1 in the fall) 10. Memories
Although its really cool that the number 1 isn't super obvious, this is probably the first time this happened since Shape of You vs Despacito.

I personally would replace Memories with Adore You.

Week 35 - 18/07/2020So this is the week of Pop Smoke's album bomb, and can I just say it's refreshing to see a good old-fashioned album bomb on the charts again? Of course, an album bomb always has a big impact on the charts, which you'll see later, but Adore You has now entered the top 10, pushing out Everything I Wanted. Also notable - after debuting at number 1 four weeks ago, TROLLZ has dropped out of my predictions into the bubbling under. Finally, Blinding Lights is predicted to overtake The Box for the number 1 spot. Current Status (100 biggest songs so far, 173.000 points to be considered locked):Added this week:StaySolidRocky - Party Girl Drop-Outs this week:Jason Aldean - We Back Songs Locked this week:Dua Lipa - Break My Heart THE SCOTTS, Travis Scott & Kid Cudi - THE SCOTTS Currently lowest Locked song:H.E.R. ft. YG - Slide Songs predicted to lock within 5 weeks:1 week:Luke Combs ft. Eric Church - Does To Me Harry Styles - Watermelon Sugar 2 weeks:Sam Hunt - Hard To Forget Lil Baby - Emotionally Scarred Ariana Grande & Lady Gaga - Rain On Me 3 weeks:Ariana Grande & Justin Bieber - Stuck With U BENEE ft. Gus Dapperton - Supalonely 4 weeks:NLE Choppa ft. Roddy Ricch - Walk Em Down StaySolidRocky - Party Girl Miranda Lambert - Bluebird Lil Baby & 42 Dugg - We Paid 5 weeks:Thomas Rhett ft. Jon Pardi - Beer Can't Fix Predicted Positions for Locked Drop-Outs:See image for all drop-outs #15: Maroon 5 - Memories #30: blackbear - Hot Girl Bummer #63: Blake Shelton Duet With Gwen Stefani - Nobody But You Predictions (Songs must have 158.000 points when adding multiple weeks of the points gained last week to their total):

^ He did but he was not on the 2019 year end so I did not include him. And to think he could’ve had a 6 year streak :/

The great thing about this thread is no matter what you want the #1 song of the year to be*, you can probably find evidence to support it.
(*As long as you expect one of Circles, The Box, or Blinding Lights).
My estimates for the chart week of July 18, 2020:
The Weeknd has climbed to #4 for the year, probably two weeks away from taking over #3. My belief is he will celebrate by buying the "E" missing in his name. Adore You continues to surprise and has a legit chance to make the top ten of the year. TROLLZ will not make the top 100 of the year despite entering at #1.
I think anything in above the 1600-1650 points will be locked into this year's actual top 100.

If Adore You makes it into the Top 10 (as is it's projected to do right now), it'll only be a part of a handful of songs post-1991 that made the Top 10 of the year-end but spent less than 10 weeks in the Top 10: Harry Styles - Adore You: 7 weeks, peaked at number 6 Post Malone - Congratulations: 6 weeks, peaked at number 8 Sam Hunt - Body Like a Back Road: 8 weeks, peaked at number 6 Baauer - Harlem Shake: 8 weeks, peaked at number 1 Carrie Underwood - Before He Cheats: 2 weeks, peaked at number 8 Toni Braxton - He Wasn't Man Enough: 7 weeks, peaked at number 2 Paula Cole - I Don't Wanna Wait: 0 weeks, peaked at number 11 Elton John - Candle In The Wind 1997 did this TWICE 1997: 8 weeks, peaked at number 1. 1998: 9 weeks peaked at number 1. #8 on year end list All 8 weeks in 1997 spent at #1, was the #1 song of 1997

Out of curiosity, I decided to make a quick check, and if every song on the charts so far would complete their run in the same position as they are now, the cutoff seems to fall at around 155.000 points. It won't really affect my predictions (I'll do a proper update when we're at 39 weeks, at which point I'll put the cutoff at the 75th biggest song so far), but it would mean Tusa, Kinfolks, OUT WEST, BEST ON EARTH, More Hearts Than Mine and (sigh) I Don't Care would be on the year-end
