#17 Stone Temple Pilots - Wicked Garden
Chosen By: Doc Indie Party Rock Genre: Grunge Year: 1992
Points: 512 SD: 12.20031225
Thoughts from the Hosts Red: It was in a RFS, for god's sake. Of course, I'm ranking it top ten. shazam: just a damn solid single from one of the grunge greats

#16 My Morning Jacket - Dondante
Chosen By: @humanshazam Genre: Indie Rock Year: 2005
Points: 518 SD: 12.54325848 (7TH HIGHEST)
Thoughts from the Hosts Red: This is prime MMJ. shazam: ugh i was really hoping this would make top 10 after how One Big Holiday did in gates' rock rankdown. this track is absolutely massive, MMJ are masters of momentum in music, and the build on this matches most post-rock songs i've heard. glad some of you seemed to really enjoy it at least!

#15 Zero 7 ft. Sophie Barker - In the Waiting Line
Chosen By: lyhom Genre: Downtempo Year: 2001
Points: 525 SD: 10.94074952
Thoughts from the Hosts Red: I know, cliche alert...but, while this is good, "Destiny", this isn't. shazam: this was one of my favorite discoveries in the whole tournament, the chill-out keys really caught my ear and i've been coming back to this one a lot

#14 Hotel Lux - The Last Hangman
Chosen By: jamesflame Genre: Art Punk Year: 2017
Points: 543 SD: 13.480674 (4TH HIGHEST)
Thoughts from the Hosts Red: This is probably the one song here that I feel like I genuinely underranked. There may have been only 20 spots in my top 20, but I probably could have given this song a spot somewhere. shazam: when i was looking up the years of the songs, i was shocked this came out in 2017. the 80s influences on this are huge, so because of that of course i loved it

#13 The Human League - The Sound of the Crowd
Chosen By: Red Genre: New Wave Year: 1981
Points: 546 SD: 11.21160113
Thoughts from the Hosts Red: Well, there goes my chance of me making the final out of any of the four seeds. This isn't my favorite Human League song, to be sure, but that beat is undeniable. shazam: definitely a fun song, but not quite of a high mark as Don't You Want Me or Being Boiled

#12 Minus the Bear - Into the Mirror
Chosen By: Geometrical Genre: Indie Pop Year: 2009
Points: 556 SD: 8.0350423 (2ND LOWEST)
Thoughts from the Hosts Red: Oh, I really, really wanted to get into this one more. It's definitely good, real good, but I feel like something's missing. shazam: MtB as a band i haven't quite gotten into, but this was definitely solid

#11 Wolf Alice - Don't Delete the Kisses
Chosen By: rainie Genre: Indie Rock Year: 2017
Points: 568 SD: 10.00238067 (6TH LOWEST)
Thoughts from the Hosts Red: Not really one of my favorite Wolf Alice songs, but it is really, really good, and they have a knack for slower tempo songs. shazam: man, this would've been awesome making the top 10. it's not quite Moaning Lisa Smile, but it sure is close

#20. Eskaton - AttenteI found this to be interesting enough for a first listen. Surprising this is from 1981 and I never heard of Zeuhl rock genre, but it's definitely fits nicely in the MEtal dept. #19. Björk- I've Seen It AllI cannot digest her singing tones at all. She literally sounds like a scared child when she sings. #18. The Yardbirds - For Your Love1960's British Poprock works wonders on my ears. #17. Stone Temple Pilots - Wicked GardenI know people do not get the STP hard on I get, but this is one of their best songs ever......and a certified Alternative Rock classic. The whole lyrical thing about the Wicked Garden being a woman or her womb is perfect. It's also great to see a member put my pick at #1 even when I can't do it myself. #16. My Morning Jacket - DondanteI'm pretty sure I have heard songs by this band I like, but I hated his vocals in this one. #15. Zero 7 ft. Sophie Barker - In the Waiting LineDowntempo says it all. Give me Uptempo. #14. Hotel Lux - The Last Hangman This was pretty cool. I loved the punk vibe. Even the vocals meshed well with punk. The Art vibe not so much. #13. The Human League - The Sound of the CrowdPre 'Dare' ,1981 ,Human League with a delicious Mv to go along? Oh yeah I'm putting that at #1. Red should have had more faith in his pick here. You should have known that Butterflies & Hurricanes ,and I would have put this above our own picks. One more #1 ranking and it could have gone top 10? #12. Minus the Bear - Into the MirrorThis one blew me away into some serious Indiepop territory I could revel in for days. #11. Wolf Alice - Don't Delete the KissesThis was always a cool song, but I think I still preferred "Mona Lisa Smile".

I predict either The Cure or Massive Attack wins this. But if my song comes in top 5 I’ll be happy.

#10 Soundgarden - Spoonman
Chosen By: Doc Indie Party Rock Genre: Grunge Year: 1994
Points: 587 SD: 10.30279666 (9TH LOWEST)
Thoughts from the Hosts Red: Fine with this making the top ten, ultimately. It's not top-tier Soundgarden, but "top-tier" Soundgarden also would have been top five or better. shazam: Sooonman

Chosen By: Beno Genre: Pop Rock Year: 1987
