The way the gays (including me) were dragging her team for not shoving "Physical" down radio's throat. Waiting for "Don't Start Now" to peak and immediately releasing "Break My Heart" with a radio deal might have been the most spot-on strategy of this era.

And "Physical" would've performed the same had it been sent for adds, there is just a big demand for her music right now

i guess we will have new single in 2.5 months hope she will have her new videos ready With all film productions halted, I’m pretty sure no one is filming music videos right now. Fingers crossed they already have something filmed because I can see this peaking by the end of May. It’s flying up the charts!

Woof, the updates have been so... explosive that I thought there was one. The deal would've been a one-day thing regardless, and obviously this didn't get one when it didn't immediately hit the chart with 1000+ spins. And as we can see from today's update, it didn't even have the traditional 8th Day Effect because of this. Sometimes not having the huge splashy debut can have its benefits too.

I still feel like “Physical” could’ve been served to radio in February, and then this could’ve gone forward in May. “Break My Heart” gives me a summer vibe but it’s climbing way too fast and will probably peak right when summer starts. I guess “Cool” would be a good follow up in the summer.

I much prefer DSN and Physical, but I’ll be rooting for this to be another major success for her.

Radio's killing a bunch of stuff in the top 20, those spins had to go somewhere. :sip2:
Also, this debuts at #7 in Australia (DSN #3 and Physical #9).

This with no deal even I'm amazed, radio audiences love her!! Doesn't surprise me tho, she does super well on callouts and I still remember how radio just didn't want to stop playing NR.

This has to be one of the fastest rising singles without a radio deal. It's competely blowing up on radio.

Wow, I was not expecting this. I would say Physical’s chorus always turns me off, so I don’t think it would’ve been a good follow up. This however always slaps in the car, great video. I’m so glad she’s on a stride, fell in love after BTO/New Rules.

Looks like her team made the right call for sure. The song and video also are better than Physical IMO.

I hope with the acceleration of this, that her label starts acting a bit faster in the U.S. The 3rd single should be prepared and ready to go in June. It's unnecessary to wait 4 months for the next single. And with her album not really being a hot seller, that means the public will continue to discover her album during the course of the era as the singles roll out and it will allow her singles to peak higher on the charts since they aren't really being streamed from the get-go, which results in a slower burn rate. Think "Teenage Dream," not a hot seller at first but the singles kept coming and coming, with the era eventually climaxing somewhere during the 3rd and 4th single and eventually causing the album to go multi platinum.
