I Love It, Magic, Say Something, Supernova, and Where Does The DJ Go are the tracks that currently own my ass Though this whole record is great, amazing to see her manage to top the UK album charts and the set the top first week sales record for 2020 over there
Its what she deserves :kii:

There is only one Kylie and that's Ms Kylie Minogue. Congrats Queen, you deserve this success.

HITS has this debuting at #22 with 20,169 SPS.
Not too bad! That’s 3x higher than Golden’s peak.

Pitchfork gave only 5.6 but I kind of agree with the review! I wish the album was more edgy and impactful than a bunch of 3.5/5 tracks under the umbrella of "disco" (That said, I would've given 6.8 or sth) pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/kylie-minogue-disco/

Probably a hater wrote that article. They've also given Madame X 4.1 and that article was proved to be written by a certain diva stan. So Pitchfork is the critic i trust the least.

Pitchfork has less credibility than Kayleigh McEnany.
DISCO keeps getting better with repeated plays.

I was so busy all last week, finally got to dig in properly this weekend. It's a killer record. Even the weaker tracks (for me "Monday Blues," "WDTDG," and "Unstoppable") are all solid and perfectly listenable. The bonus tracks on the deluxe fall into that void too, aside from "Spotlight" which is the strongest of the bunch IMO. Such a consistently catchy and enjoyable album. She's still delivering quality over thirty years in.

I finally had the stomach to read the Pitchfork review. I guess negative reviews give more clicks and we all know Pitchfork isn't kind to mainstream pop artists.

I kinda get Pitchfork's complaint, I just don't agree with it at all. It's like they haven't been paying attention to who she is as an artist for the past thirty plus years.
This is literally a Kylie Minogue album called DISCO (in all caps I might add, it's not even subtle). I went into this knowing exactly what I was getting. And that's not a bad thing, because she more than delivered on what I expected. I'm not sure why people expected Kylie to subvert the disco genre. Not that Kylie hasn't challenged herself over the years, but overall, she's normally a very straight-forward/on-the-nose type of artist. Which is part of her charm, but it's also why she's perpetually underestimated.

The album is down to 72 on Metacritic. Guess it's not so critically acclaimed anymore. I still love it very much.
