What feels weird is how The Weeknd managed to score 4 chart-topping songs this decade and the only one that feels remotely like a #1 is "Can't Feel My Face". Even "I Feel It Coming" felt bigger/more inescapable than "Starboy". Uh The Hills was EVERYWHERE in late 2015, I was a freshman in college at the time and I heard it playing many times around campus

Only I Feel It Coming felt like a #1 to me Feel It Still was a commercial jingle Thunder and Body Like a Backroad are famous for sucking, not #1 hits Body Like A Backroad was literally the biggest country song of the decade until Meant To Be came along.Β I'm an urban dweller, as is most Americans. Who the hell listens to country in the city? That's why I never get how a lot of country songs chart at all.

And Iβve met people who like some of the more rock oriented stuff.

I am an βurban dwellerβ also, and I do listen to country music. This may surprise you, but people do in fact have differing tastes and I think itβs pretty ignorant to restrict genre based on geographic location. There are plenty of country listeners in urban areas, just like there are plenty of pop & hip hop listeners in rural areas. In fact, about 50% of the US population listens to the genre, which dwarfs the 20% of the US population that lives in a rural area.

The Nashville/Texas country music scene is HUGE and it reaches expand to all coasts of the United States. I live in an urban area too, yet I still like country.

Assuming that every song in this week's top 10 will have risen (green arrows), I believe this would be the first time that has happened since 1974/10/05 (the only other time being 1974/09/28).

^Yeah. Also, when I was in college, several people from my floor in my college dorm where Country music listeners, even though they didn't necessarily live in rural areas.

Looks like the songs from JackBoys didn't last very long on Spotify. I'm still surprised that Harry Styles is hanging on in the top 20/

Iβve already streamed Party Rock Anthem 5 times since last night. If I had a Hot 100 it would be re entering this week. Goodbye 2010βs, you were fun! Looking forward to many more hot 100 threads next year as we argue about useless things, call people flops, await people to release that wonβt and have a grand time!

It's a great choice to remember the early 2010s.

I'm still surprised that Harry Styles is hanging on in the top 20/ More and more hyped music each week from the rappers which adds to nothing. It's like there is always the anxious crowd then the drop. I want good music for 2020 that has some longevity and quality. The last rap song I enjoyed was Ransom, so I need some... more of that.

It might be just me but this was a bad year for rap. Already last year there was a drought of amazing rap albums and this year seems we didn't have even amazing songs.
DaBaby is a highlight I guess.
EDIT: And Megan Thee Stallion to some extent.

Just listened to Don't Start Now and I love it tbh. Fully on board with it being a top ten hit in 2020.

EDIT: And Megan Thee Stallion to some extent. There wasn't that much good rap in the mainstream but that's because most big names either didn't drop or disappointed, outside of Young Thug and newcomers like DaBaby, Megan, and Roddy Ricch. For rap in general we had great albums from Freddie Gibbs, Little Simz, Jpegmafia, Slowthai, and YBN Cordae.

"All I Want For Christmas Is You" completely off the charts this week? I doubt it. I canβt imagine the #100 song gets that many points. But not sure when the tracking week ended for AIWFCIY

Will whatever song is at #58 this week have a bullet? Without Holiday Songs I think the chart will look something like this: 01. Circles 02. ROXANNE 03. Someone You Loved 04. Memories 05. Good As Hell 06. The Box 07. Dance Monkey 08. 10,000 Hours 09. Lose You to Love Me 10. Ballin' 11. BOP 12. bad guy 13. No Guidance 14. SeΓ±orita 15. Bandit 16. Panini 17. Hot 18. Old Town Road (Remix) 19. Truth Hurts 20. HIGHEST IN THE ROOM

The 1/4 chart tracking period for sales and streaming went through the day after Christmas. Thus, all holiday tracks should be MIA on the Jan. 11 chart. And older tracks would not rank in the 51-100 range, anyhow.
