When did we start hating Eminem? Pulse is so random sometimes. We're here for all these boring lowbeat rappers who keep putting out the same song again and again and whose music careers are all fronts for their drug businesses anyway, but one of - if not the - greatest rappers of all time is now too old, too lame and way too edgy? I'd take Eminem over deadbeat-dad Future any day of the week. This is the quintessential "I hate rap except for Eminem" comment.

wtf are y’all on, this Eminem record is fine and a hell of a lot better than revival or kamikaze
Expecting a standard album bomb for it along with scattered Mac and Halsey songs in the bottom half of the top 100

Only Premonition, Those Kinda Nights, Godzilla and Darkness are going to chart. I don't think we'll have a full blown album bomb, especially for a surprise hour-long album.

Wait a minute, so you’re going to complain about Eminem lyrics but not ALOT of rap songs lyrics denigrating women, glorifying violence...etc? You have to do a lot of mental gymnastics to come to that point of view.

Poor Halsey, like jeez. Hyping up your big #1 album drop only for Eminem to surprise release that very week.

At this point, I'm more excited for Kendrick Lamar and J.Cole dropping their albums anytime soon.

You have to do a lot of mental gymnastics to come to that point of view. It's not that he's denigrating women or glorifying violence...it's how he said it that's the issue. The fact it wasn't funny, interesting or even clever makes it leave a bad taste. It's like violence in movies: there's nothing wrong with having violence but how you present it matters. If presented badly, it comes across overly grotesque and morbid; gory for gore sake without any taste. If done well in either a fun way or an actually scary way, it can be an entertaining experience. Also, the music sounds terrible.

Cole's album will either be AOTY material or the worst of the year and I'm looking forward either way

How’s the new BTS single going to do, it’s already at 5.2 mil views and number 1 on iTunes (if that matters at all)

What does Future being a "Deadbeat Dad" have to do with absolutely anything? What do you mean their "Music careers are all fronts for their Drug businesses"... WTF?

Cole's album will either be AOTY material or the worst of the year and I'm looking forward either way OR it'll just end up being really bland and generic like most Cole albums are.

Anyway, so I listened to half the album, and so far the hit is definitely Godzilla. Juice has a good hook and Em raps really fast for those types.

The hate some of y'all have for rap is crazy I guarantee if Drake dropped a surprise album today instead of em yall would have a issue with it,but as soon as one of your pop darlings drop a album you don't want anyone to hate on it .

Sadly an unpopular opinion, but Eminem isn't even top 100 in terms of GOAT rappers tbh. Success =/= talent and I'd take DIY psychotic, drug-fueled soundcloud rap over 50 year old corny clown any day lmao. Maybe thats just me tho

Well maybe if the surprise drops didn't suck, we'd be complaining less.

I was an Eminem fan for the longest time, still am and still hold SSLP, MMLP1 and Eminem Show are great albums but it's some hip-hop heads realize there's more to rap that just syllables and speed. Em isn't even the best rapper on Shady Records anymore; I'm way more excited for a Royce da 5'9" drop than I am an Eminem.

So, I guess this January's album releases are turning out to be the most interesting in quite a few years. I know right! Don't forget we're also getting Meghan Trainor's long-awaited third album and Kesha's new album on the last day of the month as well. It's been quite some time since we've had such an intense month for new releases. Hope the rest of the year keeps it up. 😉

Success =/= talent and I'd take DIY psychotic, drug-fueled soundcloud rap over 50 year old corny clown any day lmao. Maybe thats just me tho You can name 100 rappers? Back to Eminem, this is nothing more than you guys being ageist, just like the average music consumer and radio station. Soon as a performer goes over the 15-year-mark they're automatically has-beens. It's unfair, wrong and uncalled for. Eminem's dropping new music that is culturally relevant, comes with a strong message, has good beats and lyrics you can actually understand. But he's old (though he looks great and can still get it tbh) and suddenly his message is too shocking. It's supposed to be shocking. Wake up, people. There's far more shootings in the world, especially in America, that go beyond the drive-bys that take out your faved mumble rappers/drug dealers/gun smugglers. Children are dying. LGBTQ+ people are dying. Churches, schools and celebrations are getting shot up, and he's trying to draw attention to that and not embelish it. That reference to the Manchester shooting is supposed to keep you remembering it. Kudos, Em. I lowkey want Rihanna to effing flop to teach everyone here a lesson, and I love her to bits. She's super old now though, isn't she? Go to Vegas with the rest of 'em, Riri, nobody's checking for you.
