I had never heard Break My Stride until just now and wow, I didn't know how much Puffy had sampled it for Can Nobody Hold Me Down. I feel like most people know Puffy over the sample though which is crazy.

P-Diddy really was the late-90s DJ Khaled in blatantly sampling popular songs.

Spotify seems to be favoring Mac Miller whereas Eminem is doing better on AM

Eminem's debut performance on US Spotify seems to be about on par with Kamikaze (21 million streams vs. 19 million streams). Every song off that album debuted with over a million streams, but it was also much shorter than Music to Be Murdered By, which means the streams from the latter were spread a bit further.

It will rebound. It’s still at the 2-5 range in all streaming platforms and i’m surprised with how hectic spotify was yesterday that it kept its numbers stable

“You should be sad” would’ve had a nice new peak in a normal week, but will likely fall a few slots due to the massive influx of em & Mac songs. I’m sad

I know it will rebound, but I was watching the Airplay race between "The Box" and "Life is Good" daily. So both songs are hits for me, but I kinda like rooting for the "underdog" which is "Life is Good" in this case, simply because "The Box" is the current #1 champ of the charts. It appears that "The Box" has won the Airplay race for this week against the newcomer.

I'm surprised that the Jonas Brothers comeback has lasted. I assumed their comeback and Sucker would just be a one week nostalgia thing that faded, but they have proven to be somewhat reliably consistent hitmakers since then.

Plus it would be even harder now, since User-Generated Content is a lot less of a major component on the hot 100 with this new forumla so it will be much harder for TiK ToK songs to do good now

Well it's not like Joe and Nick could branch out and make solo songs again that'll be a hit this isn't 2014/2015 anymore plus I wouldn't mind if they stay together and be this decades Maroon 5.
