How can a song be charting on Hot 100 and not recurrent there, but be recurrent on the genre chart? Literally what would be the logic behind that.

And the song is 'recurrent' on the R&B chart while it's still the #1 song on R&B radio wtf.

The rapper debuted four songs from "Funeral" on the chart this week.
As Lil Wayne celebrates his fifth No. 1 album on the Billboard 200, as Funeral launches atop the chart dated Feb. 15 with 139,000 equivalent album units, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data, he also debuts four songs from the set on the Billboard Hot 100.
"I Do It," featuring Big Sean and Lil Baby, enters the Hot 100 at No. 33, followed by "Mahogany" (No. 61), "Mama Mia" (No. 87) and the album's title track (No. 88).
Notably, "I Do It" earns Lil Wayne his 82nd career top 40 Hot 100 hit, pushing him past Elvis Presley for the second-most in the chart's history. (Notably, the Hot 100 began in 1958, two years after Presley's commercial breakthrough.) Only Drake has more top 40 entries, with exactly 100.

Probably a sign No Guidance is on it's way out (Thank God!). I honestly don't mind songs going recurrent early on the R&B/Hip-Hop charts. It's a million times more preferable to the Electronic or Country or Rock charts clinging on to songs months after they've dropped off. Just look at the ridiculous amount of weeks songs like Happier, Meant to Be, High Hopes, or Thunder spent on the top of their respective charts. |

Happier/Meant to Be/High Hopes/Thunder all spent months and months on top far after they peaked everywhere though. No Guidance is still #1 at R&B radio currently. It seems absolutely silly under any circumstance the #1 song on radio is not a 'current hit'. No Guidance on the R&B charts should definitely be one of the rare exceptions to a recurrent rule. No Guidance is also #22 on Hot 100, and isn't going to be removed until it falls below #50. So not sure how that's a sign its on the way out. |

Just to give my personal opinion on this whole radio vs streaming dispute, I think both of them have their merits and disadvantages. While the younger generation relies more on streaming to discover new music and indulge in their music consumption, older generations tend to opt for radio, though this is not a rule, as even myself as part of the younger generation have made some pleasant discoveries through radio.
The problem with streaming is that fans from certain genres such as rock and country haven't fully made the transition, so songs end up relying on radio to get any sort of traction. Meanwhile, radio has a serious issue of keeping songs afloat for way too long, as well as not really reflecting what the general public actually wants to listen (even though songs like "Memories" and "10,000 Hours" were on the top 25 On-Demand this week, so I guess we can also blame this on the general public's lack of taste).
That's just my take on it, of course.

Billie having the lowest radio audience in the Top 10 lol. What will it take for radio to play this girl? Sheβs the only pop act I can think of that gets ignored like rappers. |

^Actually Life is Good has the lowest radio audience. While Everything I Wanted has slowly raised its radio audience, compared to other songs, such as the Box, it would be in the top 15 of Radio Songs next week in its ninth week charting. Probably the reason is that Billie is more alternative which in most case takes a bit longer to get accepted by radio.
