#46 - Hello, I'm GoneWriter: Kevin Welch Placement in its rankdown: 5/10 Total Points: 319 bboat11 - 16 taylor - 34 tim - 34 someguy - 36 .indulgecountry - 39 ccarter1023 - 45 castleoblivion26 - 54 Troublemaker - 61 We return to Everybody Knows for our next loss, "Hello, I'm Gone". Much like "Fairytale", which we lost at #49, this song didn't have any exceptionally low ranks, but it didn't have any exceptionally high ones either. That allowed it to float to the middle of the pack, but not make it much further than that. #46 seems like a fitting place for it to leave us. bboat11 sees another song exit his top 10, while Troublemaker loses a bottom 10.

#45 - Victim Of The GameWriters: Garth Brooks, Mark D. Sanders Placement in its rankdown: 4/10 Total Points: 316 taylor - 11 someguy - 14 tim - 32 .indulgecountry - 34 bboat11 - 49 Troublemaker - 56 ccarter1023 - 59 castleoblivion26 - 61 At #45, we see the Trisha Yearwood album eliminated, as we lose its final remaining track, "Victim Of The Game". It was the highest ranked album track in its rankdown, at #4, and did the best out of all the songs from the album here as well. What hurt it in the context of the bigger rankdown is that most people who rated it highly in the album rankdown didn't participate in this one. taylor and I both lose top 15s, while castleoblivion26 loses a bottom 10.

#44 - Bring Me All Your Lovin'Writers: Kenny Greenberg, Allison Moorer, Doyle Primm Total Points: 314 Placement in its rankdown: 6/11 castleoblivion26 - 20 .indulgecountry - 23 tim - 30 Troublemaker - 35 someguy - 44 bboat11 - 51 ccarter1023 - 52 taylor - 59 It's taken us all the way to #44, but 1998's Where Your Road Leads finally takes a hit, as we say goodbye to "Bring Me All Your Lovin'". It was the second highest ranked album track in its album rankdown, finishing at #6, but is the first to depart here. With Where Your Road Leads finally losing a song, that leaves Real Live Woman, Inside Out, Every Girl and the extras as the only rankdowns with all of their songs intact. Like a few of our recent losses, this didn't have any extreme high or low ranks, which slotted it nicely in the middle of the pile.

#43 - Love Wouldn't Lie To MeWriters: Terry Radigan, Don Schlitz Position in its rankdown: 8/11 Total Points: 310 taylor - 10 ccarter1023 - 20 Troublemaker - 25 .indulgecountry - 40 tim - 41 bboat11 - 53 someguy - 59 castleoblivion26 - 62 It's back-to-back losses for Where Your Road Leads as "Love Wouldn't Lie To Me" leaves at #43. It was actually tied with our #42 song, but that one won the tiebreaker by being someone's #1! Yes, our first #1 loss is up next. As for this song, taylor loses a top 10 here, while @castleoblivion clears out another bottom 10.

#42 - Nearest Distant ShoreWriters: Gary Harrison, Tim Mensy Position in its rankdown: 8/10 Total Points: 310 Troublemaker - 1 taylor - 25 castleoblivion26 - 39 bboat11 - 45 someguy - 46 ccarter1023 - 48 .indulgecountry - 51 tim - 55 Troublemaker is the unlucky person to become the first person to lose their #1, as "Nearest Distant Shore" from Hearts In Armor bows out at #42. Besides that high rank, most of the placements for the song were in the middle of the pack, which is why it exits here. In fact, its #1 placement to come near the end of the submission process allowed it to firmly plant itself in the top 50, which it wasn't even assured of doing before then.

With this loss, we say goodbye to the first track from Inside Out in this rankdown. That means that, going into the top 40, just Real Live Woman, Every Girl and the extras rankdown have all of their songs. No one loses a top 10 or bottom 10 here, though bboat11 does see his #11 exit.

“Nearest Distant Shore” will always hold a dear and special place in my heart. Memories of growing up and telling stories with my aunties and older cousins with music playing in the background. I miss those simple times.

I’ve already relistened to “It’s Alright” a couple of times since yesterday’s reveal and can’t help but feel like I underranked this one. It has such an easy-going flow to it that makes for a relaxing listen. I think this just goes to show you the strength of the album tracks overall because I was really second guessing everything once I started in on the top 50.
Speaking of, what a brutal start for me as I lost three of my top 15 songs all in a row! “The Nightingale” (#11) is such a hauntingly beautiful song and I always find myself drawn to Trisha’s piano ballads. “I Don't Fall In Love So Easy” (#14) was one of my favorite discoveries from The Song Remembers When rankdown and I’ve found myself coming back around to that song a handful of times since. “Fairtytale” (#13) was already in my top 4 in the Thinkin’ About You rankdown, so it was bound to be pretty high on my list here as well. I’ve already mentioned how much I adore that album as I don’t think there’s one bad song to be found on it.
I’m not too surprised that Trisha’s debut album was the first to be eliminated. I think most of us would agree its singles are a tier above the album tracks with “Victim of the Game” seemingly being the lone exception. Speaking of, I find that a bit funny considering that Garth Brooks co-wrote this lol. I also have to admit that I prefer his version to Trisha’s, but that could be in part to me being more familiar with his.
“Harmless Heart” is the second song here that I gave a closer listen to this morning as I had the second lowest ranking. This might just be a case of me not quite being in the mood for this when I was working on the rankdown, but I’d certainly bump this up on my list now. I was really feeling that chorus this morning, especially the emotion coming through in Trisha’s voice. I couldn't imagine any other country female vocalist singing this with that kind of range.

It was actually tied in points with both our #41 and #39 songs. It beat our #41 song because its highest rank was #10 (from .indulgecountry), but lost to #39. #39 also had its highest rank at #10, but its second highest rank was a #21, while "You Don't Have To Move That Mountain"'s second highest rank was taylor's #27. On the flipside, I lose another song from my bottom 10.

It was ccarter1023's #21 rank that allowed "I'm Still Alive" to break the tie and prevail. With this loss, the Real Live Woman album takes its first hit, leaving Every Girl and the extras rankdown as the only rankdowns left not to lose a single song. taylor loses a bottom 10 with this reveal.

Right on the heels of Real Live Woman losing its first song, we now say goodbye to the first song to leave us from the extras rankdown. "To Make You Feel My Love" (from the Hope Floats soundtrack) was actually on track to do much, much better here, and was a contender for the top 10 at one point, and was pretty consistently in the top 20. However, a couple of back to back bottom 10 placements from taylor and .indulgecountry sunk it, and it couldn't recover, despite a final #12 rank from castleoblivion26. ccarter1023 loses his #4 with this reveal.

I'm pleasantly surprised that this did as well as it did, given the collective vitriol from many directed at Garth Brooks, who provides a prominent harmony vocal here. This did prove to be polarizing, as both tim and taylor lose a song from their bottom 5, while three top 20s are lost, including my #9.

No top 10s are lost here, with my #13 being its highest rank. It also didn't have many really low ranks either, with more than half of people placing it in the 25-36 range. Unfortunately though, as we reach this part of the rankdown, many ranks in the middle of the pack aren't going to allow a song to survive much further than this.

The song is a track from 1996's Everybody Knows. It's always been a favourite of mine from that album. It was on track to finish in the top 25 for most of the process, but Troublemaker's #68 rank near the end of the submission process knocked it out of the top 30, and it wasn't able to return. I know I haven't been around for most of the reveals, but I am thoroughly enjoying how quickly this is moving someguy And I don't have too many complaints so far! I'm so glad to see Every Girl being the last album to remain fully intact heading into the top half. And I am also glad to see the Garth feature be the first song to leave once that album finally lost a song, as that was a bit of a head scratcher to finish as high as it did in the album rankdown. I figured something like "Workin' On Whiskey" would have been a much better fit for this Rankdown. Now that "What Gave Me Away" is gone, I'm hoping the other four songs from that album all make the top 20!! And I am overall not surprised to see the second half of her career dominating the top half of this rankdown. As I said in my predictions, I felt that her albums got stronger as her career went on. Things are about to get really painful, as I want most of the songs that are left to make the top 20.... There are definitely songs that I would prefer to leave next, but there certainly aren't 10 of them.....

"For A While" put up a good fight during the submission, despite not receiving any top 10 ranks. It did receive three top 20 placements, including bboat11's #14. This is another song that I wanted to rank higher than I did, but it kept getting pushed further and further down my list as I ranked more songs.

This song is the victim of bad luck, as only 10 points separate it from #20. One rank just a few places higher would have put it in the top 20 (which could be said for all of our songs in this set). The 20-28 range of this rankdown was incredibly competitive, and every list received made a big difference. ccarter1023 loses his #2 here, while no particularly low-ranked songs from anyone's list departs.

No one loses a particularly low ranking, but the group of ranks in the 37-47 range meant that this one was living on borrowed time here.

#26 - Wouldn't Any WomanWriters: Bob DiPiero, Michele McCord, Mark D. Sanders Position in its rankdown: 7/11 Total Points: 238 bboat11 - 8 taylor - 21 .indulgecountry - 27 ccarter1023 - 28 castleoblivion26 - 28 tim - 33 someguy - 38 Troublemaker - 55 We head back to 1998's Where Your Road Leads for our #26 song, "Wouldn't Any Woman". Despite not being a super strong competitor in its own rankdown, it put up a really good fight here, and was on track to make the top 20 at one point. It's another one that caught up in the logjam in the 20s, and one slightly higher placement would have pushed it into the top 20. Troublemaker's #55 is its lowest rank, while bboat11 is on the other end of the spectrum as he loses his #8.

#25 - Gimme The Good StuffWriters: Angelo Petraglia, George Ducas, Hillary Lindsey Placement in its rankdown: 7/11 Total Points: 237 bboat11 - 4 someguy - 6 castleoblivion26 - 16 .indulgecountry - 22 tim - 28 ccarter1023 - 46 Troublemaker - 51 taylor - 64 We return to 2005's Jasper County for our #25 song, "Gimme The Good Stuff". The song has long been one of my favourite Trisha tracks, so I was happy to see it overperform here in comparison with its own rankdown. Both bboat11 and I lose a top 10, while taylor loses a bottom 10.

#24 - Seven Year AcheWriter: Rosanne Cash Position in its rankdown: 3/12 Total Points: 235 castleoblivion26 - 10 ccarter1023 - 11 tim - 23 someguy - 27 bboat11 - 31 .indulgecountry - 35 taylor - 40 Troublemaker - 58 Trisha's cover of "Seven Year Ache", a collaboration with its writer and original artist Rosanne Cash, is out next at #24. It is the third song to leave from Inside Out, despite being far and away the most successful in its album rankdown. What did it in here was that 3 of its 4 highest rankers from the album rankdown didn't participate in this, while all of its lower rankers did, which means that it fell short of how it did last time here. castleoblivion26 loses a top 10, while ccarter1023 loses his #11.

#23 - Those Words We SaidWriters: Angelo Petraglia, Kim Richey Position in its rankdown: 6/10 Total Points: 234 tim - 3 ccarter1023 - 16 taylor - 18 Troublemaker - 21 .indulgecountry - 32 someguy - 40 bboat11 - 48 castleoblivion26 - 56 Finishing just one point ahead of "Seven Year Ache", "Those Words We Said" bows out at #23. Unfortunately, with this loss, the entire Thinkin' About You album becomes the next album to be completely eliminated here. As said earlier, this was the album that introduced a few of us to Trisha, and so it would have been nice to see this do a little better here. I do think that its singles are better than its album tracks, which I guess does make this exit not so surprising. Unfortunately for tim, he loses his #3 with this exit.
