Week 14: May 15, 2020Reba McEntire takes the top spot with "The Bar's Getting Lower," while also debuting in the Top 40 with the re-release of her 1997 song "What If," which is perfect for these times. Lady Gaga earns Greatest Gainer honors and jumps 5 spots to #3 with "Stupid Love," Megan Thee Stallion & Beyoncé debut with the remix of Meghan's smash hit "Savage," while Doja Cat jumps to #11 with "Say So." The chart run of the original Nicki Minaj remix will count towards the song's overall run. Kacey Musgraves also enters in at #44 with "Oh, What a World 2.0," which is also perfect for the times we're in. The chart remains a bit clogged as many songs in the lower half just refuse to leave. Nice to see "Stupid Love" become the biggest gainer, reaching the top 3! I also like the high debut for "Savage Remix"! Great chart!

Week 15: May 22, 2020Lady Gaga takes the throne this week, going to #1 with "Stupid Love," the lead single from her sixth studio album Chromatica. Reba sticks around at the bar, taking the #2 spot again. The release of Sara Evans' new album Copy That reaps her some huge benefits, as she not only earns Greatest Gainer honors, clearing the entire 11-20 bar in one week with "If I Can't Have You," but she also sees many album tracks debut. One such debut is "Hard to Say I'm Sorry," which enters at #5, this week's Hot-Shot Debut. This album bomb coupled with many songs refusing to give away spins are the two factors in the demise of Ashley McBryde's "One Night Standards," which completely nosedives this week, falling from #2 to the very bottom of the chart. Week 16: May 29, 2020Lady Gaga sees a great chart week with the #1 debut of her collaboration with Ariana Grande, "Rain On Me." This is the first #1 debut in the history of the chart; it helps Gaga receive back-to-back #1 hits and helps Ariana receive her first chart-topper here. She's been trying since the chart's inception with "How I Look On You" but...yeah, that one's been stalling in the teens for some time. Lady Gaga replaces herself at #1, with "Stupid Love" having hit #1 last week. That song now occupies the runner-up spot. The album bomb for Sara Evans wears off somewhat this week, with her Copy That album bomb entries from last week either staying around the same area or falling. Cam once again re-enters the Top 5 with "Till There's Nothing Left," which has proven to be a juggernaut on this chart, having already peaked at #3 and showing no signs of slowing, spending only one of its 15 weeks outside of the Top 10 of the chart. Little Big Town enters the Top 3 with "Sugar Coat" while Blake Shelton re-enters the Top 10 with his Gwen Stefani duet "Nobody But You," joined by the remix of "Savage" by Megan Thee Stallion & Beyoncé. Let me know if you'd like to be tagged! <3 The Hot 50- - 01 Lady Gaga ft. I'm back at this lol Week 17: June 5, 2020WELCOME TO CHROMATICA! Lady Gaga absolutely obliterates everything in her path, cleaning house on the entire Top 11 thanks to the release of her sixth studio album Chromatica. As a result, only four songs see positive updates; everything else sees position descents, quite a few in the double digits. Lady A manages to climb into the Top 25, while Reba McEntire, Matt Stell and Carrie Underwood also see green updates. Miranda Lambert stays put altogether at #32, the only artist to do so, as three songs ("I Hope ft. Charlie Puth," "React," "Kings & Queens") re-enter the chart. Let me know if you'd like to be tagged! <3 01 01 Lady Gaga & Ariana Grande - Rain On Me (Peak: 2 weeks at #1) (Weeks: 2) 01 02 Lady Gaga - Stupid Love (Peak: 1 week at #1) (Weeks: 14) - - 03 Lady Gaga - Alice (Peak: 3) (Weeks: 1) (HOT-SHOT DEBUT)- - 04 Lady Gaga - 911 (Peak: 4) (Weeks: 1) (DEBUT)- - 05 Lady Gaga - Babylon (Peak: 5) (Weeks: 1) (DEBUT)- - 06 Lady Gaga - Plastic Doll (Peak: 6) (Weeks: 1) (DEBUT)- - 07 Lady Gaga - Replay (Peak: 7) (Weeks: 1) (DEBUT)- - 08 Lady Gaga - Enigma (Peak: 8) (Weeks: 1) (DEBUT)- - 09 Lady Gaga - Fun Tonight (Peak: 9) (Weeks: 1) (DEBUT)- - 10 Lady Gaga - Free Woman (Peak: 10) (Weeks: 1) (DEBUT)- - 11 Lady Gaga & BLACKPINK - Sour Candy (Peak: 11) (Weeks: 1) (DEBUT)04 12 Normani - Motivation (Peak: 3) (Weeks: 16) 05 13 Cam - Till There's Nothing Left (Peak: 3) (Weeks: 16) 03 14 Little Big Town - Sugar Coat (Peak: 3) (Weeks: 17) 06 15 for KING & COUNTRY ft. Week 18: June 12, 2020Lady Gaga continues to dominate, keeping hold of the entire Top 5 with a pretty consistent Top 40 presence two weeks after the release of her album Chromatica. Nearly every song sees a positive update as the album bomb effect wears off slightly, with Mickey Guyton earning Greatest Gainer honors, climbing back to where she was two weeks ago with "What Are You Gonna Tell Her?" Maren Morris also sees a huge jump, ascending into the Top 20 with "Flavor" while Miranda Lambert, Reba McEntire, and Matt Stell all enter the Top 30. Martina McBride debuts at #20 with "Girls Like Me" earning Hot-Shot Debut honors while Katy Perry joins us with "Daisies" at #26. Week 19: June 20, 2020Note: This week's chart was delayed by a day to respect the observance of Juneteenth. June 19 is not an extra tracking day for this week, and it will continue to be a tracking day for the June 26 chart. The rain continues to fall torrentially as Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande stick around in the penthouse for the fourth consecutive week with "Rain On Me," tying Miranda Lambert's record for longest reign at #1. Will they take over the record next week? Lady Gaga herself continues to keep a consistent Top 10 presence, taking the entire Top 3 for the third week in a row. Mickey Guyton sees herself into the Top 10 with "What Are You Gonna Tell Her?" while also debuting at #40 with the extremely poignant "Black Like Me." Dolly Parton closes in on her current #6 peak from the for KING & COUNTRY duet "God Only Knows" while also being the week's Hot-Shot Debut, giving us the hopeful message "When Life Is Good Again" at #17. The one other debut this week is "Martha Divine," the 'second single' from Ashley McBryde's sophomore album Never Will. Some notable updates include a four-point climb by Martina McBride with "Girls Like Me," Kelly Clarkson climbing four spots with "I Dare You," and Old Dominion earning the week's Greatest Gainer honor by climbing six spots with "Some People Do." Let me know if you'd like to be tagged! <3 The Hot 5001 01 Lady Gaga & Ariana Grande - Rain On Me (Peak: 4 consecutive weeks at #1) (Weeks: 4) 03 02 Lady Gaga - Babylon (Peak: 2) (weeks: 3) 04 03 Lady Gaga - Alice (Peak: 3) (Weeks: 3) 06 04 Normani - Motivation (Peak: 3) (Weeks: 18) 07 05 Cam - Till There's Nothing Left (Peak: 3) (Weeks: 18) 09 06 Little Big Town - Sugar Coat (Peak: 3) (Weeks: 19) 08 07 for KING & COUNTRY ft. Week 20: June 26, 2020When it rains, it truly does pour! It continues to fall on Lady Gaga & Ariana Grande as "Rain On Me" stays put at #1 for the fifth consecutive week, breaking Miranda Lambert's record for longest reign at the top (Miranda had perched at #1 with "Bluebird" for four consecutive weeks, February 21-March 13). The Chromatica album bomb has officially worn off though, allowing a lot of songs up top to see some pretty good gains. However, with one album bomb leaving comes another, as Gabby Barrett reaps benefits from the release of her debut album Goldmine. She's the Hot-Shot Debut, the Greatest Gainer, and sees a lot of her album tracks chart, affecting some of the songs in the middle and lower regions of the list. for KING & COUNTRY and Dolly Parton manage to reach a new peak of #5 with "God Only Knows" while Thomas Rhett & Co finally crack the Top 10 with "Be A Light." Let me know if you'd like to be tagged! I hope to do a mid-year chart report showing which songs are my biggest of 2020 so far, so please let me know if that's something you'd like to see! <3 The Hot 5001 01 Lady Gaga & Ariana Grande - Rain On Me (PK: 5 consecutive weeks at #1) (WKS: 5) 04 02 Normani - Motivation (PK: 2) (WKS: 19) 06 03 Little Big Town - Sugar Coat (PK: 3) (WKS: 20) 05 04 Cam - Till There's Nothing Left (PK: 3) (WKS: 19) 07 05 for KING & COUNTRY ft. Carrie's Hottest 50 (Mid-Year 2020)As I'm slowly catching up to the August 14 chart (which will be the most recent starting on Friday), I figured it would be nice to take a quick detour before hopping into July's charts and present the Mid-Year chart. This is a cumulative list of the 50 biggest songs that I've charted so far in 2020. The cut-off was June 30 so that's how accurate this list is.
When it comes time to do the official 2020 Year-End chart, I have a few ideas as to go about it. One of them is to reveal them one by one in their own separate thread and then do a rankdown of them? I don't know, there's still a wee bit of time to map things out.
Mid-Years and Year-Ends are a bit different from the normal chart, so instead of writing it all out I'm just going to share the chart that I put on Crownnote. Feel free to peruse that if you wish while you wait for the July 3 chart, which is coming shortly!
Let me know if you'd like to be tagged! <3

Oop, look at "Track Record" sneaking in at #50 on the mid-year list while currently charting Hopefully it'll be up to the top 20 or so by the time the year-end rolls around! At the rate Martina's flying up, I hope she even makes the year-end chart at all!!

Week 21: July 3, 2020From record breakers to a history maker! After 5 consecutive weeks at #1, the longest such reign since the chart's inception thus far, Normani dethrones Lady Gaga & Ariana Grande and becomes the first black woman to hit #1 on the chart with "Motivation," after 20 weeks on. Gaga & Grande's "Rain On Me" falls to #3. Mickey Guyton enters the Top 5 with "What Are You Gonna Tell Her?" while Sara Evans and The Chicks re-enter the Top 10 with "If I Can't Have You" and "Gaslighter" respectively. At just 11 weeks in, Miranda Lambert enters the Top 20 with "Track Record" while Maddie & Tae re-enter the chart at #50 with "Bathroom Floor," which I'm now charting as the second single from their latest album. Ashley McBryde earns Greatest Gainer honors this week by climbing 10 spots to #36 with "Martha Divine," while three new songs debut: Caylee Hammack & Reba McEntire's "Redhead" at #15 (the Hot-Shot Debut of the week), Charlie Puth's "Girlfriend" at #25, and Eric Church's "Stick That In Your Country Song" at #40. Normani #1, LBT at #2, Mickey top 5, and Sara Evans back in the top 10! Loving that debut for Caylee Hammack, too. "Redhead" is a total bop!

Yay @ "Sugar Coat"! That's my fave on Nightfall. It should hit #1 on my chart as well in a few months. Hope Mickey is next! Happy to see "The Stranger" debuting, too!

Week 23: July 17, 2020After 18 weeks on the chart, Mickey Guyton--the only black woman signed to a major country music label, in case any of you didn't know--does what she should've done on the actual charts back when she first started in 2015 and hits #1. The stirring ballad "What Are You Gonna Tell Her?" features some of the most cutting lyrics I've ever heard in music and Mickey deserves endless heaps of praise. Other Top 10 showings include Sara Evans entering the Top 5 with "If I Can't Have You," Lady A climbing to #9 with "Champagne Night," and Maren Morris moving 10-7 with "Flavor." The Greatest Gainer this week is Carrie Underwood, who jumps seven spots, from 26-19, with "End Up With You." Let me know if you'd like to be tagged! <3 The Hot 5002 01 Mickey Guyton - What Are You Gonna Tell Her? also @ the 1-38 and 1-30 drops for Normani and LBT. Garth could never! See that's what happens when there's no recurrency rules Maybe I should take a deeper look at how recurrency works... .indulgecountry I've always wondered, are the songs in italics on your chart the ones that are close to recurrency? Take a drink every time I say recurrency

Martina going the wrong way gurl! Somebody needs to do her rankdown!! Girl some songs are gonna have negative updates! Would you rather she shoot up to #1 for the very next chart, disappear completely, and thus fail to hit the Year-End status? :kii:
