Urban AC and Rhythmic are her calling cards but her label somehow isn't realizing it

It’s done. Rest In Peace. I’m confident JoJo’s radio career is done. Just keep releasing those albums and do tours, Jo, and you’ll be just fine. "Man" was never going to be a big pop hit. It's catchy, but not for pop radio hit. The fact that she only sent 3 songs to radio between 2007 and 2019 certainly didn't help, she hasn't been a consistent presence on the format in a looooong time. If anything, I'm surprised Man made it all the way to #37 on pop, yet never cracked the top 50 on rhythmic. I'd say that might show JoJo still gets some pop radio attention.
Still so confused as to why No Apologies didn't become a hit. It was a strong single. I was convinced it would at least peak in the 20's and then it stalled at #41 A shame there wasn't a second single to get some momentum going, the album certainly had viable options for pop radio, unlike Good To Know. Although I still think it'd be worth a shot to test Think About You somehow. Yeah, the suggestion that her radio career is done is such an overreaction lol. She hasn't been a consistent presence anywhere for a long time and it has affected her popularity across the board. She needs to release music regularly, collab with the right people and build again. Comeback going a bit viral is a good example of how quickly things can change.

I listened to "Comeback" and I don't see it doing much better than this at radio??? I hope I'm wrong. I would love to see JoJo get a "hit". "Comeback" is going viral on TikTok, charting on Apple Music, has nearly triple the amount of Shazams this does, and has more Spotify streams than this. It would absolutely surpass this one's peak easily. Now, specifically here on pop it may not be huge or anything, but urban and rhythmic? I smell a smash. Your probably right especially if it's getting big on Tik Tok. My friends daughter used to intern at a label and was doing Tik Tok promo/ideas for artists so yes I know Tik Tok is huge right now. Especially at getting a hit now a days. This latest cd by JoJo isn't my cup of tea. A bit to mellow for me but I did/do love "Man". Perhaps I shold give it another listen because I've always been a big fan.

Okay, so now Warner officially has no excuse not to start pushing Comeback. "Man" was never going to be a big pop hit. It's catchy, but not for pop radio hit. JoJo's pop radio peaks: Leave (Get Out) #1 Baby It's You #7 Not That Kinda Girl #49 Too Little Too Late #2 Hoe To Touch a Girl #46 Anything #36 Disaster #28 When Love Hurts #50 Fuck Apologies #41 Man #37

Overreaction, maybe. Done was probably the wrong choice. Trust me, I want her to win, but radio seems to only give her so much love.
