Next up is another one of Tanya's biggest hits from the 1970s; in fact, "Lizzie and the Rainman" actually crossed over to other formats when it not only was a #1 country hit, but also a top 40 hit on the Hot 100 (#37) and a top ten hit on the AC chart (#7). Although fairly common practice starting from the 2000s, this was quite a feat for 1975! :o My condolences go out to someguy, who loses his first top ten. Quite stunned to see a lack of passion for this, but I guess age had a lot to do with how this performed here.

Wow... ...and just like that, Girls Like Me is only down to one song remaining, "I'll Come Back As Another Woman". Can it hold on much longer? tim loses his first top 20 ranking, which also serves as a top fifteen.

Ugh, the reveals are really starting to take a punch now. I find the melody of "One Love at a Time" to be so infectious and this song has been a favorite of mine for as long as I can remember. This even flirted with my top 10 before I started making more edits to my list.

Disappointing to see "Lizzie And The Rainman" out so early. It's one of Tanya's biggest early hits, and easily one of my favourites of hers. I love how the story builds, and how she sounds, especially on the choruses. She does a great job of it live, even lately.
"The Winner's Game" was featured on an episode of The Good Doctor last season. It was playing in a bar in the episode where Shawn takes a road trip home to see his dying father.

We return to the album named after an explosive. The successful country singles "Texas (When I Die)" and "I'm the Singer, You're the Song" remain. This is becoming a nail-biter, y'all! :o No clue why bboat11 keeps taking hits to his top ten, though.

You're really flippity-floppin' your way through this rankdown! Yikes, I can't even believe this made it ahead of "One Love At a Time" y'all. Other than "Texas (When I Die)", Tanya's TNT era was just a hot mess.

Now it's Kanenrá:ke's turn to flop as he loses his first top ten! "Dancing the Night Away" was the least successful single from Ridin' Rainbows where it peaked at #16 on the US country chart and #19 on Canada's. Quite surprising to see it last this long given the title track and "It's a Cowboy Lovin' Night" were bigger hits.

Oh my goodness! It's been almost two weeks without reveals (been focusing on 2012 Country last weekend). If I had started earlier today, I would make an attempt to get us to the top 30, but honestly, the halfway point seems more reasonable at this time.
Either way it goes, I lose something in my top ten pretty soon! :o

Glad to see "Between the Two of Them" at least make the top 40. While I can't say that I actually remember this song much, you could say that it became one of my favorite rediscoveries and I found myself revisiting this one quite a bit. This was right about the time Tanya started to see her commercial star fade and the fact that it barely charted in the top 30 is probably the reason why I don't have much of a memory of ever hearing this.

Even though it was a top 5 hit, "Call on Me" is another song of Tanya's that I can't say I have any memory of as this would've been charting in my very early childhood. That said, I have to say this kinda became a go-to song for me as I found myself revisiting it a handful of times. Songs such as these work very well for her as Tanya has always had a bit more grit to her voice than other female vocalists.

Well whaddaya know? We take another bite out of Tanya's recent album with one of her singles that got the music video treatment at the end of last June. someguy, George Strait Junkie, and I lose a top 20 here with this fairly polarizing song.

Welp, that's one shoe that just dropped. I just lost my first top ten; at least I got company to soften the blow a little bit. ;) My goodness, this top five hit from 1980/1981 actually reminds me of something I'd hear on a 70s pop station...which is a good thing! P.S. The other shoe will be another much higher ranking of mine right before we get to the top 30.

"Hard Luck" majorly overstayed. One of my least favorites on her most recent album.

While “Hard Luck” happens to be one of my favorites from her most recent album, I know that isn’t a shared sentiment amongst those on Pulse so I am a bit surprised it even managed to make it as far as it did. It’s definitely one of the top 3 songs I revisit from While I’m Livin’.
The chorus of “Can I See You Tonight” is quite catchy and with it being one of the few hits she had during her career lull it deserves a top 40 placement.
On the other hand, “San Antonio Stroll” deserved at least a top 30 showing as it’s one of her earliest big hits and fifth number one single. I wouldn’t necessarily go out of my way to listen to this (I hear it regularly on the radio down here in Texas anyways) though and can understand why not everyone might like it. I’d maybe even describe it as a bit campy, for lack of a better word.

I love “San Antonio Stroll”. It’s a really fun song, and she still performs it live. She did it when I saw her live last fall, and you can tell the she and her band still have a lot of fun doing it.

It's been a while since a song from TNT has been eliminated hasn't it? "I'm the Singer, You're the Song" was able to make the top 20 on country radio in the US back in 1979, while almost making the top five over on Canada's country chart. Obviously, "Texas (When I Die)" is far more superior ( ), but how much more superior is the main question.
