Iβm still letting this album sink in as I havenβt given every song my full attention yet, but so far Iβm really liking βLove is a Fireβ, βPawn Shopβ, and especially βLong Walkβ which is just so...Brandy! Iβm seeing her live in Austin in less than a month so I need to get going and learn all the words to these songs soon!

I'm really looking forward to hearing this. Amazon still hasn't shipped my copy yet, even though I pre-ordered it in January :(

Add βApologiesβ to the list of songs that are standouts. I canβt help but wonder what Brandy was going through during the making of this album because it does seem as though it mightβve been some kind of break-up.

Thereβs definitely a lot of emotion coming out of the album that touches on this, though.

My favourites are Pawn Shop, Long Walk and Apologies. I think this is another great album, so hopefully the critical acclaim will follow and hopefully help with the sales!

I'm liking her album a lot. Maybe not quite as much as her first two, but I've only listened to this twice so far, so that could definitely change. It seems a lot more serious than her first two, which makes a lot of sense with what she was going through. My early favourite songs are "Long Walk", "Pawn Shop", "Who You'd Thought I'd Be", "Apologies", "Who Broke Whose Heart" and "Can We Be Strangers". (I realized as I was typing that that is over half the album, haha). I like the idea of "Bigger Boat", but Randy Newman isn't my favourite duet partner. It definitely could grow on me though.

Brandy has started a βYou Canβt Come Overβ live show every Wednesday for the duration of the pandemic. Episode number one aired today and streamed on Facebook and Instagram. Iβm not totally sure how to link a video from there, but if youβre interested in watching tonight, itβs on Brandyβs Facebook page. She talked a bit, sang four songs from the new album, and introduced a book club that she will host every Monday.

Episode 2 this week was with Ashley McBryde. It was great! I can't find a way to link it on here, but if you can follow Brandy on Facebook, you'll be able to see it. They each played songs from their favourite songwriters, and it was really good. Brandy's 'show' is a highlight of my week since this whole thing has been going on. She has guests lined up for the next two Wednesdays :)

Brandy announced this week that a video for "Better Boat" is coming. Not sure if that means it's the second single or not, but we will have to see.

She officially confirmed on a stream today that "Bigger Boat" is the second single.
Also, she is taking a two week break (this past week and next week), and then You Can't Come Over is coming back bigger than ever. Reba McEntire & Jennifer Nettles will be upcoming guests!!!
As well, the Emily Sailers episode will be redone, because it was plagued with technical problems (so much so that the original episode has been removed from Brandy's social media).

I would have hoped for the opening track of the album. Love that one

Sad. "Bigger Boat" is the only bad song on this record imo. I just cannot get past how awful Randy Newman sounds. I'm happy she got to collborate with him on a song if that was a dream of her's, but the result is unfortunately... not good to my ears. That said, a Brandy Clark "single" won't get airplay or anything so I suppose it's all moot anyhow.

Yuck. I canβt stand that song either. His voice is atrocious. Ugh anything would have been better than this.

Late, Late Show with James Corden performance of "Bigger Boat", and also includes an interview about You Can't Come Over (But You Can Come In) and her book club:
