if this doesn't get a substantial push ima be livid Okay so I think this is a cool song and watching it rise so fast is very pleasing, but I must ask; has there ever been a hit song with a tempo slower than this? Like, genuinely curious because I can't think of any off the top of my head. this is actually a super interesting point -- besides COMN (which didn't go beyond the 40s on pop), i genuinely can't think of anything from the last 10 years. i'm super curious how radio responds to this (and good days if they're smart and give it a push) -- if they do well they'll hopefully pave the way for more "vibey" stuff that typically doesn't get played on the radio, but i can also see them bombing callouts if they get to that point Janet in the 90s had a few βvibeyβ radio hits that crossed over to Pop. βAnytime, Any Placeβ comes to mind.

I feel like once this peaks on radio, the streaming crowd will have already moved on, kinda like what happened with "Break My Heart"...
Nonetheless, Iβm so glad this is officially getting pushed!

Yup, but tbh they got lucky it became a hit at all. They were already moving on to a whole other album. At this point the fact that she has finally landed a second solo hit is way more important for her long-term viability rather than the difference of a #18 peak vs a #8 peak on the Hot 100.

Nice to have an adds date for this. I think it's streaming peak may have already came and went though.

Good! Maybe they were waiting for it to crack the top 50 organically or something.

So excited this is impacting! Not sure how well it'll do being so low tempo, but I hope it can provide the song with some decent non-streaming support.

Iβm kind of surprised they havenβt set up an adds date for Rhythmic and Urban. This feels the type of song thatβll do really well on these formats, not just Pop.
It has that multi-format, crossover appeal.

It has that multi-format, crossover appeal. Urban does not play her music, Urban think they are too good for her, they play all lils, smokes, stallions, thugs, bunnies, kashss, durks and muuuuuus. CAT is simply too safe and convenient for their taste. Maybe if her artist name was Do Jah Dawg, they consider playing her.

It has that multi-format, crossover appeal. They put it under Cool New Music on rhythmic (as well as pop, finally). Considering it's still pretty far from the rhythmic top 50, judging by the spincrease and leaders, maybe they're trying to solicit more early spins before the adds date That is of course a process that should have started 3 weeks ago, but I'm just glad they're doing something

I get why βSay Soβ wasnβt played on Urban. But thereβs a pathway...sheβs not a complete stranger to the format. A potential promotional opportunity would be for her to perform this at the Grammys. Sheβs nominated for Best New Artist so she should be able to showcase the versatility of her album. Performing βSay Soβ would feel a little outdated.

She only had 2 songs sent and promoted to the format, "Juicy", which peaked at #7 and "Like That", which peaked at #43. Unlike Pop and Rhythmic (to a certain extent) Urban most likely won't play music that's not promoted to the format. Period.

I also think the problem was that they chose not to push anything to Urban after Juicy. Pop and Rhythmic had Say So, so they couldβve kept the momentum they got from Juicy with something Urban-leaning like Rules, Cyber Sex, or Talk Dirty. By the time they finally sent Like That, six months had already passed by without an active single. Had they send something to Urban while Say So went to Pop, Iβm pretty sure Like That wouldβve done decently on Urban and that Streets would even be climbing their chart right now.
I donβt think all hope is gone though. I believe that Best Friend is going to restore her momentum and by then Doja can try to plan her releases more wisely.

That's more like it! Also picking up on rhythmic. +208 on spincrease (top 50 threshold is a bit over 400)
Also appeared on the Urban spincrease chart too with +101. It's happening
