Whenever I listen to the song (which was about 4 minutes ago, before Free Wo-Man came on - I put the album on shuffle, don't @ me), I can see Ariana's goofy dancing in my head and I smile and want to copy it. Rodriguez did an EXCELLENT job with the video. It's memorable without being over the top or...dare I say...pretentious.

Pop radio has always been extremely fickle.

Urban and Rhythmic radio, on the other hand, are much more appreciative and supportive of their core artists irrespective of how late they are in their careers ie. Beyonce, Chris Brown etc. The same applies to AC & HAC radio also.

Rihanna, for instance, is the biggest artist on Pop radio (chart-wise) in history as per Billboard, nonetheless I can almost guarantee that her peaks on Pop radio with #R9 (and from here onward) won’t be as strong as they will be on Urban and Rhythmic radio - it already started with “ANTI”.

I’m more impressed at “ROM’s” growth & stability on Adult-Pop radio to be honest. I’m glad Gaga’s music is still encouraged there.
