This seriously cannot be peaking now. I thought this would at least go Top 10 on Pop.

Meghan Trainor of all artists had a better update than this today.
I'm sad to see this is not flying up the charts like we were expecting. I hope it's not the end.

Eww, at the AI... Is this done? Sad because if they released it a bit later it would have done way better. I like this WAY better than "Blinding Lights" but it seems like it's going to have the same destiny as "In The Night".

Pop radio doing its best in supporting all the old and boring shit from 2019 and preventing new hits from reaching top ten.

There are two reasons it is not doing well: at first this is melodically sad song, especially for times like these and also it almost belongs to nostalgia radio, not so much current pop landscape. Actually it has given Weeknd modest quality hit.

I wonder if the slowdown have something to do with callouts. The stations, label, etc can see those below the familiarity threshold before we can after all

There are two reasons it is not doing well: at first this is melodically sad song, especially for times like these. This doesn't sound like a somber song at all. Meanwhile Pop radio is literally playing a song called "Death Bed" so I don't think they're too concerned with playing depressing shit.

It also doesn't belong to "nostalgia radio" any more than Blinding Lights or Don't Start Now.

This is what happens when label/management pre-plan singles before the public has a chance to consume it. If his team would’ve just waited until after the album drop to see what songs did well in streaming, they could’ve taken a different path.

This is doing better on streaming than any of the other album tracks tho...

^ Probably because it's a single and has better play listing then all the album tracks. I do believe they should of pushed this but I wish they waited until now to start pushing it. The video also came out way to early.

What would the difference be if they started pushing it now rather than with the album? Besides dropping the video, it likely wouldn't have done as well if it was pushed to radio now.

at least the audience updates have been pretty good? what is his label doing. if dua lipa, a much less established artist than the weekend can have Break My Heart already in the top 10 with Don's Start Now still having like 15k spins i don't see why abel couldn't

IYE is the 3rd single.

But these all were absolute success. At first Heartless, which is not even easy song for Urban, definitely not Pop and they made it big number one hit. Amazing! And at the same time releasing another song, I mean it could have so easily been overexposure, but no - the plan was perfect and gave Weeknd his biggest hit all-time worldwide. And dont forger that Blinding Lights was released in November last year, so the journey to the top was 5 months long. In Your Eyes might still be another slow burner, it does get stuck in your head and is the definite grower. Weeknd might surprise us one more time, let´s see!

Maybe I’m crazy, but I’m not concerned about this song’s performance. It’s strong enough streaming-wise that there isn’t a reason not to play it, “Blinding Lights” is taking a long time to die (it got close to the spin record), so I get why this is just chillin at #20.

So it could start to rise a bit more when Blinding Lights starts to fall for real.

I knew he released the next single to pop too soon
However, I do expect this to begin surging when “blinding lights” dies. I remember we thought “adore you” was dead for a few weeks, and then it flew up to the summit.

The lesson for artists is never release the next single while the current song is still doing well.
