"Be a Light" is probably not going to chart right? Since it came out on a Monday, and none of the artists are all that big on streaming?

Yeah I don't even know why we talk about Drake every week. He hasn't had a #1 in a very long time. I think he's been replaced by Travis who has had 2 solo #1s in less than a year. 1. Because Drake's name grabs headlines and numbers regardless of whether he's the main artist or just a feature, and whenever he is the main artist, it's almost guaranteed to debut in the Top 10. 2. When the hell did Travis replace him? Just because he got two #1s in less than a year? HIGHEST IN THE ROOM couldn't even spend 5 weeks in the Top 10, and Drake had three number one hits in a single chart year.ย 1. Drake has relied on features so much in the last year. He hasn't had a solo top 10 hit in nearly 2 years. He's now using heavy hitters like Future and Rick Ross to hit the top 10. His last solo single "Behind Barz - Bonus" didn't even reach the top 74 on the Hot 100. That's worrying. 2. Drake relied on challenges, samples, and sympathy to hit #1, while Travis went #1 because people are buying and streaming his music. Highest In The Room was the highest selling rap CD single of 2019, which is hard to get and not everyone has that to their credit.

Hopefully, If The World Was Ending and City Of Angels debut. Not because they're good song but I just want that Billboard Breakdown critiques haha. Add Maniac to that as well. He already reviewed Conan Gray's album so I'm fine with that song not charting

Drake released 3 projects in 2019 and none had a solo top 10 hit. Now he's coming back again with a new song based around a challenge created by the people who made the "Rolex" song, yikes. He didn't promote Behind Barz - Bonus? It even had a high budget music video.

He had an album and EP out last year!

A few songs even charted on the hot 100 which was accomplishing despite these songs being at least 2 years old or older. The Best In The World - 2 loose songs he released to celebrate the raptors winning their first championship. He didnโt promote either song at first but when money in the grave became a single drake released a cheap music video but it still became a stable top 10 hit and he didnโt mean it to be a serious hit cuz he knows how impactful it could be if he did promote tf out of it Which is why he didnโt released his โleaked songsโ so far this year officially. We all seen how big of a hit life is good is and we all know drake has still got his strong charting power. The only person that could match him honestly is post malone Also one last thing, why do you think no guidance is STILL on the charts after 42 weeks. It canโt be Chris Brown at all and thatโs for obvious reasons. His other song โHeatโ with Gunna didnโt last long. You canโt deny or try to rewrite the amounts of impact drake has on not only music, but society as a whole

Drake spent 29 weeks at #1 with 3 songs in 2018. One of the Travis songs that reached #1 featured an extensive appearance by Drake and is a huge part of why the song was that successful. The only reason why Drake didn't score 4 #1 hits in 2018 is because Travis refused to credit him as a feayired act on Sicko Mode. Travis' second #1 hit was as a result of him gaming and exploiting every possible loophole and the song didn't even spend up to 10 weeks in the top 10. Both Travis songs spent a combined 2 weeks at #1. Since the last time Drake scored a #1 hit, he's charted better and scored more top 10 hits than Travis. How does Travis scoring 2 solo number #1's since Drake last scored a #1 hit equate to him replacing or surpassing Drake?

Probably not unless Country radio stations start to play it a and it consistently gets streamed. I do believe I saw in the "Be a Light" thread that country gave it 119 spins yesterday alone. (edit: lmao you're the one that posted that info) If it gets streamed consistently and adds to a consistent amount of radio airplay I can see it maybe making a slight dent.

The delusion in this post is mind boggling. When did Future and Rick Ross become heavy hitters? Future's last top 10 hit before Life Is Good with Drake was Mask Off in 2017. Rick Ross has two top 10 hits to his name and they all feature an appearance by Drake. How delusional do you have to be to disregard the fact that Behind Barz is a freestyle Drake did from over a year before it was released? It was never pushed on radio and was simply added to the soundtrack album of a TV series.

How does Travis scoring 2 solo number #1's since Drake last scored a #1 hit equate to him replacing or surpassing Drake? Why would Travis credit a background vocalist? That wouldn't make sense. Travis will credit the artist when they have a significant part of the song (like Kendrick Lamar on Goosebumps or Young Thug on Pick Up The Phone). I'm not sure why you're trying to discredit Travis' achievements? It almost seems like you have something against him. BTS did the same strategy with On, yet only peaked at #4. I guess HITR was more appreciated by the GP.
