1. What song will be #1? "Angry All The Time" although "The Cowboy In Me" seems like a good bet too - I think these two ran away with the top two.
2. What song will be last place? "Let Me Love You"? It kind of sticks out from the rest of the album.
3. Which single (Grown Men Don't Cry, Angry All The Time, The Cowboy In Me, Unbroken) will place highest? Lowest? Highest: "Angry All The Time" Lowest: "Grown Men Don't Cry"
4. What song will be the most polarizing? The least? Most polarizing: "Unbroken"/"Angel Boy" Least polarizing: "Let Me Love You"/"The Cowboy In Me"
5. What will be the highest placing album track? I think it'll be between the title track, "Things Change", and "Telluride".
6. Last album, two of the singles were in the bottom 5- could that happen again with any of these singles? I don't think so - I think there were 3 or 4 album tracks that I found a little weaker so hopefully those go near the bottom and then I'm assuming "Grown Men Don't Cry" and "Unbroken" will have its group of support and single bias to keep them out of the bottom 5.
7. Any other thoughts/predictions? "Unbroken" finished behind "Grown Men Don't Cry" in the singles RD but hopefully this time the order will be flipped! Also I have to comment on "Angel Boy" - I found the melody in the chorus really interesting but I can see how that would be a turnoff for some people. I hope it ends up on the higher end of the album tracks here!

1. What song will be #1? This is "The Cowboy In Me"'s to lose!!!! Although "Angry All The Time" should put up a hell of a fight too. If those aren't the top 2, this whole rankdown is cancelled. 2. What song will be last place? "Let Me Love You". The only choice. 3. Which single (Grown Men Don't Cry, Angry All The Time, The Cowboy In Me, Unbroken) will place highest? Lowest? Highest: "The Cowboy In Me" at #1. Lowest: "Grown Men Don't Cry" at #6. 4. What song will be the most polarizing? The least? Most: "Take Me Away From Here". Least: "Angry All The Time". 5. What will be the highest placing album track? "Telluride"!!!! As she deserves!!!!!! It would even be nice to see this infiltrate the singles a bit, to finish around #3 or #4... 6. Last album, two of the singles were in the bottom 5- could that happen again with any of these singles? Nope!! That's a pretty rare accomplishment for singles in an album rankdown, lol... 7. Any other thoughts/predictions? SUPER excited for these reveals!!!! I have a feeling that they will be quite a circus They are also going to be incredibly painful, because there are like 7 or 8 album tracks that deserve to do well, plus 4 incredible singles....which means there is nooooot much wiggle room..... Lol

1. What song will be #1? I'm 95% confident it's gonna be "The Cowboy In Me"
2. What song will be last place? "Let Me Love You" or "Smilin"
3. Which single (Grown Men Don't Cry, Angry All The Time, The Cowboy In Me, Unbroken) will place highest? Lowest? Highest: "The Cowboy In Me" at #1. Lowest: I'm thinking "Grown Men Don't Cry", but I can see perhaps Unbroken as well?
4. What song will be the most polarizing? The least? Most: "Grown Men". Least: "Cowboy".
5. What will be the highest placing album track? "Angel Boy" or "Telluride" Though I really like "Forget About Us"
6. Last album, two of the singles were in the bottom 5- could that happen again with any of these singles? Not a chance
7. Any other thoughts/predictions? A very solid 10 songs on this 14 song album. "Unbroken" hasn't aged as well as I thought it might.

1. What song will be #1? Considering “Angry All the Time” was in the top 3 in Tim’s artist rankdown I think that song has the best shot at winning here, but I wouldn’t count out “The Cowboy In Me” either
2. What song will be last place? “Let Me Love You”
3. Which single will place highest? “Angry All the Time” Lowest? “Grown Men Don’t Cry”
4. What song will be the most polarizing? “Angel Boy” The least? “Angry All the Time”
5. What will be the highest placing album track? “Things Change” or “Telluride”
6. Last album, two of the singles were in the bottom 5- could that happen again with any of these singles? Highly unlikely outcome for this album as most of the singles are well liked and will likely be in the top 5
7. Any other thoughts/predictions? A random tidbit but I remember Tim McGraw performing "Things Change" at the CMA Awards in 2001 which was more or less his indirect way of responding to the song "Murder On Music Row" (it won Song of the Year that same night).

Last album, two of the singles were in the bottom 5- could that happen again with any of these singles? There's one that I wouldn't mind seeing in the bottom 5, but it's doubtful that it will happen. 7. Any other thoughts/predictions? Like tim, I remember him performing "Things Change" at the CMAs, and how controversial it was at the time. There were certainly a lot of people mad about the song, and thinking that he did it to defend Faith.

Lol is there speculation that Faith was one of the targets of "Murder on Music Row"?

I remember the "Things Change" performance and how radio played the song all the time afterwards, enough that it charted into the Top 30 I believe. That being said I do not remember any controversy. I do remember people being annoyed that a studio version wasn't released to radio afterwards and it was never a single, which is a shame

I had refreshed and legit thought I had accidently posted my draft when I saw this. The first song to leave us is the spanish flavor of Let Me Love You! I think all the pre-reveals predicted this, It was in last place the entire submission process. Five people lose their last place! Second least polarizing, which should go to tell you pretty much all the next reveals received some sort of huge support. As bboat11 predicted, they're going to get painful fast!

YESSSSS. The ONLY correct choice for last place..... I don't even dislike this song all that much, but on album as nearly-perfect as this one is, there aren't a whole lot of options for last place... Lol
"Let Me Love You" just plain doesn't fit on this album. And for some reason the melody is kinda repetitive and grating to me. I do like the Spanish-influenced guitar, but ultimately it isn't enough to give this song a life preserver to help it rise up to the level of the rest of the album.

Yeah it sticks out like a sore thumb on the album - you summarized my thoughts about this song perfectly! I had originally had it higher when I made my initial draft probably because it sounded really different and stood out but on further listens it just didn't do much after the first shock wore off.

I think this was around the year that Carlos Santana album was huge and I can't help but think of only that EVERY TIME I hear the guitar. 😂

“Smiliin’” is a good song for what it is, but I feel like it just kind of gets lots in the shuffle amongst an album with better tracks.

Yeah, "Smilin'" is also one of the weaker efforts on this album. I never listen to it and actively dislike it, but I also never enjoy it as much as I do the majority of the rest of this album. You have to admit that that "I feel like a bum with a pocket full of diamonds" lyric is low-key iconic though 😂
