Wanted to thank everyone who participated and followed along, this is my favorite Tim album so the rankdown meant a lot to me! To comment on the finish to the last rankdown, I do enjoy "Nashville Without You" a lot despite my #11 rank. The problem is that TLOF is SO full of amazing songs with fantastic melodies and stirring, gripping lyrics. "Nashville Without You", on the other hand, may have a great melody, but the lyrics are incredibly dull. The point of the song is just to shout out as many songs as possible that have helped define and shape the music industry in Nashville through the decades, and it does do a great job at that endeavor....but the effect is that this is nothing but a list song. And when you put it up against a handful of songs that tell a picturesque, emotional story, the lyrical shortcomings are too much for me to ignore. "Highway Don't Care" is THE standout not only on this album, but also in the entire past decade of Tim's career. That melody is undeniably perfect ear candy, and Keith Urban (like him or not) helped this song come to life with a powerful and unique guitar performance that is an absolute masterpiece of technical musicianship. This album series is awesome so far, thanks for hosting ClevelandRox :) Set This Circus Down is his strongest album yet, and will no doubt be a strong contender for my favorite album from him (yes, I just listened to it already while I was doing dishes tonight, lol). I won't be able to judge completely until I hear all of them, as I pretty much only know bits and pieces of most of them. |

It was a 3-week #1 on Billboard I believe too - it blocked the Mediabase-only #1s "Begin Again" and "Tornado" - blocked two really good songs but then again "One of Those Nights" itself is really good too so I can't really complain here. Thanks for adding this! My memory only holds mediabase (I can never remember what missed out on Billboard) so in the future if anyone wants to add the Billboard peaks after a reveal (or how many weeks on either chart), please do  This didn't play out too horribly I just wish that "Number" made the top 5 We needed George Strait Junkie 's help! 😩 ONE. POINT. I f’d up I’m pissed at myself that I let this one pass. how In the hell does anyone put this piece of dog .... in the top 5. let alone #1 damn I’m sick. I’m sorry to all who agree with me on how horrible it is. sorry I wasn’t there to help you. I’ll try to never do so again. especially when there’s a chance a song like this could win. |

Thanks for hosting, ClevelandRox. Really strong showing for this really strong album. I would've preferred the top 6 to be in a different order, but imo the right songs all made it. And glad to see Set This Circus Down next. That just might be my favourite of Tim's albums, but it's been a long time since I've listened to it. |

#late but yay @ "Highway" winning and also wow @ "Nashville" being the highest album cut! That + "Number" are without a doubt my two favorite non-singles on the record, so I'm glad that at least one of the two wasn't done dirty. Pretty surprised it edged out "One of Those Nights" for a runner-up finish.
Looking forward to doing Set This Circus Down!

It was my second Tim album (the other one I had at the moment was A Place In The Sun) and it's great that we get to rank this one as I listened to it quite a bit back in the day. |
