Why We Said Goodbye is the third song we lose, and the third album track (of five) to fall short of the album track rankdown.  I really love the vulnerable heartbreaking lyrics to this one. I want to know why they said goodbye! š„ NO ONE had the heart to put this as their last place. |

Aaaaaaaand the hot mess begins :'( "Why We Said Goodbye" is a beautiful song!!! A super emotional and strong vocal from Tim, and one that I have kept coming back to the last couple weeks more than many of the other songs on this album. I feel like I underranked it now, although I'm not sure how much I could have helped it :(

Yeah, "Forget About Us" has always been one of my favorites from this album too. I love the lyrics so much, and the way they pair with the melody.
I was so busy championing for "Take Me Away From Here", but tbh the last two reveals have been every bit as painful for me as that one would have been š

Thatās a pretty strong set of songs in the top ten, although much to the chagrin of the host my last place is still in. I myself have never been a fan much of albums with more than ten songs, so this is about where Iād have narrowed it down to (minus that last place song of course hehe).

I had no idea Let Me Love You was so disliked. I think itās a really good, unique-sounding song, but I guess it does stick out quite a bit.
Smilinā is a decent enough song, but after several years of not listening to this album, I completely forgot what it sounded like. Good, but fairly forgettable.
Lyrically, I really like Why We Said Goodbye. I kind of hated ranking it as low as I did, but on an album full of fantastic songs, this one just gets lost in the shuffle for me.
Forget About Us is really the only song on this one I just could never get into, so it was an easy last place ran for me.
Thatās a very solid top ten remaining! I canāt believe I forgot what a great album this is.

Lol is there speculation that Faith was one of the targets of "Murder on Music Row"? Yeah there was widespread belief that the song was about her and Shania. There were countless R&R topics about it lol. Timās performance was considered a counter shot at the time. |

I say this not knowing what intent the songwriters had regarding āMurder On Music Rowā, but I donāt buy into the idea that it had anything to do with Faith Hill. The song didnāt come out until 1999 and Faith just also happened to release a country/pop album with Breathe at the same time. Not one to ruffle any feathers, George tried to play the whole thing off but I think Alanās take was a bit more of a serious note. |

My only complaint so far is that my #14 is still in, what a dreadful tune. Otherwise, so far so good as far as I'm concerned. My top 5 remains untouched, and only once that changes will I start getting upset/have more to say lol.

I love "Unbroken", it has always been a favorite from this album, even before it became a single. It hasn't aged all that well tbh but it is still a favorite

The title track to this album is just soooooooo underwhelming!! Which is really bizarre and unfortunate, because the album is pretty close to being perfect. How tf did the namesake of the entire album end up being such a nonevent? "Take Me Away From Here", on the other hand, has always been one of my underrated favorites  This song is amazing! I love the little interval that he sings in the last line heading into the chorus ("Darlin'", "You could", etc.); for some reason it words as a pre-chorus to give the main chorus a lot more power when it hits. I don't think it is a missed hit or anything, but it is a really great album track! |
