I'm still apprehensive about the title track winning this... I'll believe it when I see it. Lol. Soooooo many people bitch about that song on Pulse... But at the same time, it TOTALLY deserves! Edit: Deserves to win, I mean. Not to be bitched about.

Umm...didn't I have "Old Town New" at #2? ClevelandRox Just checked my own list and I actually put "My Old Friend" at #5. What's a Tim album rankdown without a mistake First time I actually had the mistake in the spreadsheet where it reflected wrong results though! :o Fixed and adjusted the point total an additional three points, it didn't change anything. I listened to the entire ‘Let It Go’ album today because this rankdown got me into a Tim music mood! I can’t believe they chose 7 singles from that album and it was those 7. I would’ve switched 2 of them for sure. Anyway, we will get to that one soon enough.
I love the top 2 in this rankdown so I’m happy with either result!

Oh good the very overrated and overplayed title track lost to the far superior album track! Love it! Very pleased with this outcome.

Watching the results of this rankdown and knowing the #1 song is about something not being written reminds me that I should prob put a reminder in my Morgan Wallen and Blake Shelton rankdowns...

In what a lot are going to consider an upset, Live Like You Were Dying takes the runner-up position while album track Blank Sheet of Paper takes the crown! There's no denying LLYWD is one of Tim's biggest songs of his career, and I think some of our rankings possibly reflect the amount of replay it has gotten for some of us. 😥 I know fearlessarrow is going to be upset by this and I hope he's not too mad. Blank Sheet of Paper was originally going to be the first single before Tim's dad died in early 2004 and after, the first single was changed to Live Like You Were Dying to honor him. As taylor is terrified pointed out, Faith is in the background for BSOP, you can really hear her at ' he don't know where to start' in the second verse. It's ashame even five singles later, it still was never chosen as a single again. I was shocked as the results came in for this and that while every other album track's reception was extremely mixed, BSOP received love from pretty much everyone.

Everytime I post I have to immediately check and see if I need to edit the list back in because some code is effed up. And now wth with the Pulse tongue smiley?

It's always neat when an album track gets to join the winner's circle! While I was hoping for LLYWD to pull it off despite the haters, I am just happy that BSOP was able to beat it rather than "My Old Friend".... BSOP was not as immediate for me as it was for everyone else, but it has grown on me more every time I have heard it. And there is no question that the lyrics are among the strongest of the album, if not his entire career! So many moments in the song portray the futility of the main character's efforts in such vibrant and picturesque images. Like, the way he's trying hard not to cry, but in reality the tears on the paper would have said more than his words ever could... To me that image even goes so far as to speak to the disconnect in their relationship, and why she's gone to begin with; she wants him to be more vulnerable and honest, while he just wants to say all the right things to make her happy. Now here he sits, unable to think of the right things to say, and never going to get her back because he's still missing the point... Yeah, it's such a great song, I'll get chills if I analyze these lyrics any further. A very worthy winner!! Now bring on Southern Voice!!!

Damn had I been there for the reveals I totally would’ve gotten the Can’t Tell Me Nothin’ hint! As soon as I saw the Taylor Swift album cover I knew what was coming next. I knew LLYWD was going to have its tankers so this result isn’t too surprising imo. Thanks for hosting ClevelandRox! Also “Back When” sucks.

Happy to see BSOP take the victory. One of Tim's very best, such a clever and effective lyric (Don Schlitz had a hand in writing it, which never hurts). Such a shame that it never ended up as a single. Curb was just so mismanaged at that point. They basically did the same thing with "Train #10" off his next album.

I swear, if Southern Voice is next... Yeah, I know I just used this gif on the last page. Same sentiment applies here.

It was my #1 vs my #2 so I'm just glad my #2 was in the Top 2. I would've liked my #1 to win of course but it lost to an equally lovely song (and again, you can't go wrong when Faith is singing behind you) so I'm quite glad that if the single was gonna be beat by an album track, it was BSOP.

Honestly, this album hits WAY harder than you would expect it to based on the singles... There's some powerful stuff here!!!

Just submitted, I really enjoy this album. It has my absolute favorite Tim McGraw song of all time - actually one of my favorite country songs of all time. looking forward to this rankdown.

let me just state that I expect my #1 to be polarizing but it absolutely shouldn't be and I hope to be surprised by everyone. I do not think a single should be #1, my Top 2 should be the top 2 100%. As much as I love "Still" and "It's a Pleasure..." that is how I feel about this album as a whole. Look forward to talking about those 2 songs more when the time comes!

I absolutely do not think a single should be #1 with this album. This was one of the most criminally mismanaged Tim McGraw albums by Curb. Even moreso than Let It Go, IMO.

I'd forgotten how good this album is. The album tracks are really strong, I wish some of them could've been singles.
