The final album track we lose from the album tracks rankdown is Ghost Town Train. 😞 I was shocked as this kept slipping thruout the rankdown. Seems like there's always one every rankdown that gets pushed out of the album tracks by a few points at the last second. I really think if Still hadn't underperformed and they chose to stay with the album, this would've been the fourth single. Perfect ranking/predictor King austin backtracks while showing taste and loses his #1 while Cody Wants Out... loses his last place. And HeyHeyHey got a perfect ranking! Also has anyone seen this just as Ghost Town Train? I've always scrobbled it just as Ghost Town Train.Bittersweet because we get these gems in the albums tracks rankdown! (and If I Died Today)... Good Girls I Didn't Know It At the Time You Had To Be There Love You Goodbye If I Died Today Singles Left: It's A Business Doing Pleasure With You Southern Voice Still

It's okay, we could kick out "If I Died Today" for "Forever Seventeen" if you don't want it!

I kinda figured "Ghost Town Train" would be either barely making or barely missing the album tracks rd. It feels like a song that would have easily gotten in on a weaker album, but not so much on this album.
I do like this song a lot, but I feel like I might have overranked it just a tad. The "Oh no, oh no" chorus is honestly terrible, and ruins the entire song... But the verses sure are great! It reminds me a lot of "Gentle On My Mind", but like 80x better!

“If I died today, would I still be a waiter?”
No Tim, you’d be dead.
I like this song a lot but that line is so funny to me. I cannot believe it made the Album tracks rank down LOL.

And there's the first single out! :O I think a lot of us thought IABDPWY of the three to go would be the first to go. We lose the album's only #1 and by far the biggest hit we got here. But after what I call The Castle Effect with castle's post about us not letting a single win, the next few lists tanked the hell out of this. 😂 Even though this feels out too early, I wouldn't of wanted to see it win either. I love Southern Voice and felt like it was a perfect first album-launch single for him. taylor is terrified loses her last place.

I wasn't really a fan of "Southern Voice" when it was current, but I have come to enjoy it a bit in recent years. It's still the most blatantly lyrically-weak song on the album, as it's basically just a list of southern people doing southern things. I'm SO glad to see this not win!!!! As a huge hit, I wasn't going to count it out until I actually saw its body...

Up next we lose another single, the album's flash in the pan first offering- the fun tongue-in-cheek It's A Business Doing Pleasure With You. I'm honestly glad this didn't do Truck Yeah-type bad, I could've really seen yall being like oh a flop first single? DEAD LAST! BURN IT! 😂 I've always really enjoyed it and back when the album came out, it would've been my #2. HeyHeyHey loses his #1 while countrymusicjunkie gets rid of their last place!

“It’s a Business Doing Pleasure With You” is a jam! Not surprised it didn’t win or make the top 5 though.

Just missing the top five is I Didn't Know It At The Time. This is the one song I wish so bad I could've ranked higher, it's so good! Something about those vocals in the chorus when he sings flying byyyyyy *chefs kiss*

I have a Christmas party tomorrow night (full of a family of conservative anti-maskers 🙄) so I won't be able to do the final 5 tomorrow night. If y'all want, I can continue this now- or on Sunday night. 🙂
Also, wish me luck not getting covid with the maskholes tomorrow night! 😷

This isn’t necessarily a favorite album of mine both in regards to the singles and the album tracks. “I Didn’t Know It At the Time” certainly seems like one of the more standout tracks and therefore I’m a bit disappointed that it wasn’t able to find its way into the top 5. While I knew that “Souther Voice” was always a bit on the polarizing side, I still thought that single bias alone would propel this one into the top 5. I’m actually kind of shocked it only managed to squeeze into the top 8. I have to say this is one of the more random top 5’s I’ve seen in an album rankdown! I’m not even about to make any predictions for how this’ll play out because I really have no idea lol. About the only one I’ll make is that “Still” seems like it’ll be a contender for the top 2 at least. Oh, please let us know how the Christmas party went ClevelandRox ;)

As much as I've been giving If I Died Today a hard time, it's grown on me so much through this rankdown! I just could never get past If I died today, who'd turn off my coffee pot. I hear it as a jam now and would've easily put it in my top nine. Me and bboat11 lose our last place at the top five! AND King Austin gets another perfect ranking!

My guess:
4 Good Girls 3 Still 2 Love You Goodbye 1 You Had to Be There
could see LYG steal the win, but am rooting for YHTBT. The song kills every part of me.

Despite a few lyrical oddities, I think "If I Died Today" is a solid album track and one that is quite deserving of its top 5 finish.

THANK GOODNESS!!! In retrospect my last place is a little harsh, but it does NOT deserve to be ahead of any of the incredible album tracks that remain. "Good Girls", "Love You Goodbye", and "You Had To Be There" are seriously among my 3 favorite album tracks of all time from him. I love "Still" too, but if there was a way for that one to somehow leave next I would be on cloud 9!

I hope "Good Girls" is next, wasn't a fan of that one.
I LOVE "Still" but I hope that is #3 with "Love You Goodbye" and "You Had To Be There" as the Top 2. Don't care which wins because both are great (though I'd give a slight edge to LYG personally)

Up next we lose the SINISTER DELICIOUS™- bboat11 Good Girls! I'm content with it going at the top four since it was the most polarizing song of the rankdown and jumped around for awhile. Jesse lit a cigarette and said, 'my man's been sleeping around and I know who it is,' and Jenny's head fell down.
If I can't have him, neither one of us will! A woman scorned by her man and best friend decided I'm just gonna take my ole friend Jenny out for Boone's Farm and maybe a little fire show on the train tracks. DAMN! I love this song! Two lose their last place while five lose a top two.

Well that's...rare! Thank goodness this leaves next because I don't see the appeal of this song at all. Lyrically there's not much to the subject matter that draws me in and there's absolutely no melody help with that. So, yea this was an easy last place for me.
